Great Italian food!

We looked on Tripadvisor for a good italian restorante. We found Don Camilo. It's a great restaurant. They are very friendly. The food is shown to you instead of choosing from a menu. That was very nice. Great tasty italian food. Ask for prices before you order. It's not a cheap restaurant.

This Restaurant offers not only outstsanding food, but also a unique dining experience. There is no menu. Instead your waiter will bring a cart with plates containing samples of what is on offer dor each course. You can pick and mix some dishes, and most of what lands on your plate involves some preparation directly by the table. And the... More

The concierge at our hotel in Berlin sent us to this restaurant because I requested a meal with wonderful pasta. Well.... we got that and more. In a word, fantastic. Everything you read about this restaurant is true, except the negatives. The food is about you. There are no set menus. You decide. They make what you want, the way... More

This is not the place to come for a quick bite. You'll be here for at least 30 minutes per course, so plan accordingly. We had appetizers, shared pasta as well as dessert and we were there for over two hours. We were in a bit of a hurry and had to ask twice for the check. So perhaps this... More

You certainly cannot fault either the skill of the chef, nor the customer service - its all done like a show - no menu, the waiter basically comes and shows you what is on offer, tells you about it (with plenty of banter and amusing comments) and then you can choose. Some food is cooked at the table - very... More

No card on the table in this place, but the waiter presents all the posiblities they have. They show the ingredients they use. That's special ... and difficult to chose ... The taste of the plates is great! And ... depending of the plate, they make the food at your table. That's spectacular to see. Our best meal in Berlin.... More

Went for a business dinner with colleagues. Awesome food selection without a large menu card - instead each item is presented, explained on dishes with plastic protection. Wonderful friendly services, waiters spoke English, French and German and made it a fantastic experience from the minute we entered the restaurant until we were stuffed. Some of the food is made close... More

The best place we visited during our stay in Berlin: fine tastes, fresh and original Italian dishes and very friendly staff. Not the cheapest but for a special occasion well worth the Euro's.

The negative reviews I read are all missing the point. If you want a standard dinner, in a touristy location, with great art work on the wall, and you want to be served very quickly and eat like an American at Olive Garden, stay home and eat at Olive Garden. If you want great good, and a great experience with... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
