Great view

We had a lovely breakfast at the rooftop café. With sparkling Wine, eggs, cheese, hams... Everything you can ask for. The view was fantastic, service was good. A must in Berlin.

Superb location on top of the Reichstag building with views out through floor to ceiling glass walls over Berlin. Food and service were both very good. We were a party of over 30 and they managed to deliver perfectly cooked poached eggs for the whole party with one of the courses - no mean feat. Starter of mountain cheese in... More

Superb restaurant. Fantastic views over Berlin. Service is 5 star. The kitchen is open so you can see all the chefs and how clean it is. Not cheap but worth it. Who would want to pass up the chance to eat at the German Parliament.

Making a breakfast reservation meant bypassing the queues and going straight up to the Norman Foster dome and beyond to the restaurant. The sun broke through the clouds and we were seated at the window with interesting views over the city. Grab a leaflet in the foyer before going through to the restaurant and you can spot landmarks whilst waiting... More

Booked in advance as advised, so missed all the queuing. Food and service were outstanding made all the better by the views of Berlin. A great way to start the day.

A very nice way to start the day. I booked breakfast for our group of 13 on a hen party in Berlin, and communication by email beforehand was very good. When we arrived the table was set with part of the brunch, so we were able to dig straight in. The rest was served by our very polite waitress, who... More

This venue has an unbeatable location at the top of the Reichstag. Very nice decor and professional service. The food is uninspiring. So just each lightly and enjoy the view.

We were recommended to have breakfast by friends.. Unfortunately, they were fully booked, but the hotel managed to get us in for a 12.30 lunch.. We arrived with passports in hand, as the hotel had given our details on booking.. We bypassed the queue for the dome, which was great, and caught the lift to the top. We walked around... More

We have heard a lot about the Kaefer restaurant at the top of the Reichstag. And the view is really stunning. Kaefer is a modern and minimalistic decorated restaurant, a little bit expensive but the food is good. But the waitress was arrogant and her need to comment our choice of eating only one dish was unacceptable. Our lack of... More

We had breakfast at Kafer, at the top of the Reichstag Dome and it was a great experience and highlight. Yes, it wasn't cheap, but actually you got a heap of breakfast food for your 28 euros. We had the selection breakfast that came like an afternoon tea tower of plates - one smoked salmon, one cold meats, one cheeses.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
