Nice neighborhood hangout

Directly on the corner of Bleibtreu and Pestalozzistreets - a great place to come to before going to the A-Trane Jazzclub on the opposite corner. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The cuisine is mainstream Italian-German with a twist (delicious chestnut cream soup for example).

we came across this place by chance when looking for a restaurant to have dinner before a show at A-trane which is just across the street. They serve fine Italian cuisine and the place looks great with nice Italian atmosphere. In case you're planning to eat there just before a show at the A-trane, then better plan your timing so... Stumbled across Trattoria Toto by chance. One of many Italian restaurants in the neighbourhood. The food was very good, service attentive, and the prices reasonable. Saltimbocca was excellent, in a delicious sauce.

Was walking around Savignyplatz looking for a place to it and the atmosphere just lured me in. Warm yellow lighting and red walls, handsome friendly waiter and yes, good food and wine too. Not to expensive, but nice enough for a romantic dinner with companion.

We had a private dinner on 03/23/2015 at Toto´s. The wine. redwine Montepulciano, was acceptable, the starter Vitello Tonato was quite good but a little bit salty, the main course, spaghetti putanesca, was terrible. After dinner we had an espresso which was nearly nothhing in the cup, even when asked for second cup. All in all a bad experience for... More

This was my second visit to toto. At first it was empty and too quiet but then it filled up and became noisy but in a good way. We had two different pastas and both were delicious. Although not cheap worth the price. Big portions. Really tasty. Candle light and great decor. Service was good & polite. Will return.

I had no intention to go to an italian restaurant at Berlin, but it seemed cosy, so we decide to enter. Staff was very friendly and, by chance, we sit. The food was very nice (just tasted pasta), and prices very fair. It was a nice atmophere and, luckly got a very nice "table neighbours", so it was a very... More

We arrived at the restaurant at 20.45. We chose and ordered. We got our first plate at 21.30. Then we finished it at 21.40. and waited until 22.30 to get the main dish. My partner had voted for a Risotto. The rice was uncooked, ti had no taste. I had a plate of pasta with salmon...that I could have cooked... More

We were hungry but had limited cash on hand as we are leaving the next day. We saw the visa sticker and other people paying with the visa machine so we ordered our food thinking that we could pay with our card. Food OK but they pulled the stunt that they only accepted local debit cards. When I tried to... More

We happened upon this restaurant by chance, and pleased we did. Excellent service and the standard of food was far better than we have experienced from time to time at Italian restaurants outside of Italy. As we dined reasonably early evening the Restaurant was fairly quite but even so the noise level was low. Toto seemed a bit off the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
