Good bistro for a healthy brunch

We found this place by chance, and it was good! The only waitress there then was friendly and caring, and the food was delicious as well. Plus the surrounding neighborhood is very quiet and friendly.

This café is actually on Mommsenstraße. This breakfast was very nice and much cheaper than at our hotel. I chose 'strammer max' which is a local style of breakfast butty. Yum. Good coffe and tea too. Service was good but not fast as only one person doing everything. Unfortunately a big building site opposite spoiled the view and the peace.

Nicely decorated restaurant and cafe with small terrace. We (5 persons) wanted to have breakfast (ca € 10,- pp) on a Sunday Morning. Though in the beginning it was not busy at all, the lady who was alone in the restaurant was in stress. The coffee which was included in the breakfast was served directly. The rest of the breakfast... More

We went here for a brunch and all four of us were satisfied, good 'healthy' breakfasts, toasties, cakes and coffee. A very pleasant spot and fun to look at the books and spend time relaxing, it feels as if you are a guest in someone's house. Not to be missed.

The first impression was very positive - I really like the "look and feel" of the place (which I assume was a shop in former times). I just felt the food and service let them down. Service was very slow, and there seemed to be only one waitress. Perhaps this is not usually the case. I know it doesn't claim... More

Annalee is the place that you'd want in your neighbourhood, where you you can have a small simple meal, breakfast, coffee and cake, a glass of wine, and feel pretty relaxed while doing so. A place to go with friends, family, by yourself; chat with others or not, stay 10 minutes or 2 hours. Not where you'd go if you're... More

Small bar / restaurant with lots of books lining the walls. We realized after looking at a couple that they are for sale. No one complained however, at us leafing through one or two. We did not eat here, but what was served looked ok. - more snacks than mail meals. The beer and wine were both lovely and as... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
