The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

Dined here and was not disappointed. We sat outside just next to the beautiful River Spree. Right when you walk in you are greeted with a "welcome beer" which was a very nice beginning to a great meal. Come hungry to this place, the schnitzel is huge and hard to finish but very very tasty and came with some nice... More

This place deserves five stars on the service alone. When we got there, my boyfriend and I didn't have reservations (we didn't know any better - really reco reservations)! But the man at the front (owner maybe?) accommodated us and originally told us we had only an hour - only later to say we can take our time, sweet. Our... More

If you are looking for the best schnitzel place in Berlin or in Germany, I would totally recommend Schnitzelei. This is the best the schnitzel place period. I live in Berlin for 3years now. whenever my friends visit me from abroad, i always take them here. They always have `welcome beer ` for free which they serve if you book... More

Although there are some very interesting and different items on the menu, Schnitzelei does not overly impress on quality. Although a few items were very good, the majority were nothing special. The staff were friendly and the food served reasonably promptly. If you're passing and need a place to eat, you could certainly do worse, however this isn't something to... More

We ate here for dinner among what sounded like all locals. Friendly staff and great food. We wanted a lite meal so we ordered the salads with veal and they were truly delicious. We also had the German tapas as an appetizer and they were excellent as well. Great meal and a great experience.

After one hell of a walk, we were late and the staff said we just made it ;) We're given a small welcome beer, which after the walk was enough for me to rate it high as this is how things are done where we live. We both had the Schnitzel with the Tapas as an appetizer. Drinks were great...... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
