Description: The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it...
The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

Whopper, best schnitzels in town

This places is the best in town for schnitzels... And even better on a Monday when you can get one for €11. It's a little out of the way but really worth it!

Recommended by a friend who lives in Berlin, this restaurant has a large open area right by the river. The menu features your standard Schnitzel as well as tasty sounding vegetarian alternatives. There is even a dessert Schnitzel. We tried the German tapas, a selection of typically German dishes served in bowls on a wooden tray. 9 tapas were more... More

The restaurant is tucked away in a residential area, close to the Spree river. The German-style food is simple, but tasteful. Big portions also. Very relaxed and cozy atmosphere with equally relaxed and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it and I believe it beats all the 'German' restaurants on the squares and bigger streets in quality and originality.

The schnitzel was great - large portions and would recommend a half portion of the schnitzel. The welcome beer on arrival was a nice touch. The waiter insisted that we have the potato salad and he was right - it was very tasty. We had reservations and it seemed necessary as it filled up fast. The restaurant is a bit... More

Nice restaurant with a lot of choices both of meals and drinks. The portions are big, and the stuff is very friendly.

The food is really excellent, but keep in mind that you have to book in advance it is always crowded there. It was near the place where we have stayed and even if it's not close to you it's worth a visit. Waiters seem to be a little disorganized though...

I decided to bring my friend here on our way to Charlottenburg Palace because my dining experience three years ago was perfect. The staff were always friendly and offer you a welcome drink. There is a nice terrace in summer and it is a nice change to the hustle and bustle in the neighbourhoods to the East. We ordered the... More

We were greeted with a small beer and a friendly waitress. The restaurant is situated in the quiet suburban area Charlottenburg along the river and under big trees. It's cosy and the food is good.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
