The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

Schnitzelei is a must visit in Berlin, if you are fan of the 3 items mentioned in the title above :) I'm usually picky about my steaks and prefer rib-eye with rich marbling, i.e. I avoid traditional Schnitzel cuts that are more lean. However, at Schnitzelei, I ate an amazingly tender and tasty piece of schnitzel! Pair this with a... More

We started with Tapas appetizers and chose six different small bowls. We liked the idea of "german tapas" but found the portions a little too big. If you had smaller portions you could try more things. As main dishes we had Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was really juicy... More

I have been nearly a month in Berlin and that was the best place to eat schnitzel in town. Don't hesitate to come. The atmosphere is unbelievable and the service was amazing. Don't miss the chance for the Schnitzelmontag offer, with schnitzel every monday for only 11,11 euros.

Waiters at this restaurant are friendly and food was served quickly, although the restaurant was quite packed. We had ordered the Turkey Cordon Bleu and the Wiener Schnitzel. Food was delicious and the portions were big. A main here sets you back at least 12 Euro, unless you opt for the veggie option. They also serve a type of German... More

My friends and I (6 in total) searched Yelp and found schnitzelei and made our way over . When we arrived the place was fully packed and reserved and there were no more seats for us, the manager was very friendly and gracious to us. he apologised to us and I suggested for us 6 to sit by the bar... Located at quiet street in Charlottenburg, Schnitzelei offers great variety of schnitzels and german tapas at reasonable price. Might need to reserve a table because the restaurant is very popular at evenings. Can't fault anything, simple and tasty.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
