Description: The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

My family and I had researched restaurants in Berlin before our trip. We enjoy genuine schnitzel, and this being a restaurant dedicated to this fine German dish, we chose to have a dinner here...and we are most happy that we did. We went in July and were seated at a table in the outdoor beer garden, which is lovely and... More

The ambience is very nice and the restaurant is close to a canal and small park by the canal. Prices are reasonable around 16Eu for a main course. The schnitzels are very large and tasty but not absolutely delicious. Altogether considering price, location and service it offers a good value restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The classic Schnitzel at Schnitzelei was still as good as I remembered it from my visit in 2012. I'm not a big fan of meat but that Schnitzel just melts on your tongue. The staff are also very friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself is absolutely lovely. Definitely worth the detour if you are not staying nearby. Would recommend... More

Arrived with a reservation early evening. It took a while to receive our one appetizer. It then took over another hour to receive our schnitzel. Bringing this to their attention how long we have waited being two hours before we got the main meal which is unacceptable. I tried to speak to the staff about it and got a rude... More

Me and my friend went to this restaurant, in the look for traditionally German food with good rating. The atmosphere was really great and special, and the staff very friendly. The food I had was good, but I've tasted better. My friend thought is was the best schnizel ever. At the end of the evening. we came in chat with one... More

We went there on a rainy Thursday evening in hope of some good solid German food and we were not disappointed. Great schnitzels all around and the 'German tapas' was an excellent alternative for those not too excited about a plate half covered with meat. Service was perfect as well and we will definitely come back. We were lucky we... More

I visited Schnitzelei after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor and it certainly was not a let down! Although slightly off the beaten track in a rather residential area in west Berlin, there is a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. I've visited twice now & both times had the Wiener Schnitzel, once with fried potatoes and once... More

We rode there by bikes along Spree ( or a channel). We sat outside. Very casual and cosy, at the same time the dishes are very well decorated, a big variety of schnitzels. Children get pictures to colour them, questions to answer, afterwards they receive ice-cream for the work done. There is a table tennis downstairs, also good for children... More

The restaurant is located on a quiet, unassuming street away from the usual tourist areas. We sat down and were immediately served with two small Berliner beers, which were right on spot. The atmosphere was casual and fun. We loved the tapas - took three between the two of us - the prune with bacon,. the cabbage roulade and the... More

Perfect to give tourists and visitors a nice schnitzel experience in Berlin. Good atmosphere, nice staff, a few good vegetarian choices, typically large beers, and nice staff. A little bit expensive for Berlin but hey it's Charlottenburg, and its a no brainer when you are on a mission for a schnitzel.
