Stumbled upon this restaurant during the day and were happy we made reservations for the evening. Enjoy!
The food is simply terrific and the restaurant itself is such an interesting place to sit and spend an evening. I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted something a cut above while not spending a fortune.
Four of us arrived without a reservation on a Friday night in February. There was a table of eight left and we were asked if we minded sharing if others arrived - we didn't. The restaurant is small and cosy with simple wooden tables, real candles and informal atmosphere. We ordered the tart flambee (which is like a pizza but... More
A nice quaint place for a glass of wine but not for an evening meal. I ordered the winter salad (a chicken salad) - i had 2 tiny bits of chicken in it. At 12.50 euros it was a total rip off which was essentially a green salad with some mozzarella and balsamic. My boyfriend ordered tarte flambe - was... More
Visited here by chance on a quiet night in December as we couldn't get a reservation at one of the better known restaurants in Berlin, and wow are we glad we did! It's a very small, intimate restaurant, hidden away off Friedrichstrasse, in an unassuming street and can therefore be difficult to find! But it's worth persevering for. Excellent atmosphere... More
Visited the restaurant on Saturday 2nd November. Had to book 2 days previously. A lovely setting felt like a living room so comfortable and relaxing. Unusual slide show good talking point, and just the right music at the right level. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Food was really lovely, had a margarita cocktail as an aperitif, perfect. My daughter had... More
Tasty and unusual menu. We had a big platter of mixed tapas. Just what we wanted. Warm & friendly atmosphere (ignore the slightly down at heel neighbouring buildings!)
I read about this restaurant on TA before we left and thought it sounded casual (for jet lagged travelers) but with a good choice of well-prepared food (we are vegetarians and "gourmets"). TA said it was hard to get into (I'm not so sure that's true, but it is tiny on the inside (like maybe 4 tables) so most were... More
I chanced upon this little gem amongst the monolithic architecture of Berlin's reunited centre. Great choice of wines - I had a refreshing and satisfyingly dry Riesling with a wonderful plate of well presented meats, cheeses, pickles and other surprises. A sassy pair of lasses serving and encouragingly local crowd
Ordered bottle of french red whilst choosing from amazing pick and develop own meal.... The hot prune and bacon wraps just melt in your mouth, we also had yummy pretzel and veal sausages, duck liver, and amazing blood sausage bruschetta. Only disappointment was anchovies on french bits of bread..... You could feel the passion with which the owner was built... More
