Lovely atmosphere, great food

Serves Flensburger Beer, Foods from allover Germany and well prepared on top of that. Weekly updated menu which makes for a unique experience. Service could be a bit faster but atmosphere and food were terrific

Jump the tram from ALEXANDERPLATZ down to PRENZLAUER BERG,and get off at stop MARIENBURGER STRASSE then a couple of minutes walk to RYKESTRASSE and you will be in one of the best ,most traditional kneipes in this part of Berlin. Went here for dinner. The chicken was not very tender, like iT was cooked way too long. All the rest was also rather tasteless. The service was ok.

We were walking around looking for somewhere to eat, and stumbled upon Seeblick! A great little find... The service was friendly, the schnitzels were fantastic, and all washed down with a fresh cold beer!! Couldn't fault it at only 28 euros for two of us!

Stumbled upon Seeblick while wandering Mitte in search of a bar at around 530 on a Saturday night. Bar attendant extremely helpful and fun. Came back the next day for lunch and had traditional German noodle dosh which was vegetarian to boot! Excellent value for money.

We went here for dinner with our son, who is two. The waitress brought a box full of toys for him, fixed a special dish combining two from the menu, and generally went out of her way to organize something for us. Granted, we were there fairly early in the evening when things weren't so busy, but we appreciated it!

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
