Best 3.5 Euro You Will Spend

My favorite sandwich has long been the muffulato from Mosperos in New Orleans. The doner from Mustafas is very bit as good but 1/3rd the price. I would go out of my way for this sandwich but try to go avoid peak hours when the wait exceeds an hour. We went around 3 pm and waited around 15 min.

Standing in a line for one hour in minus 8 degrees doesn't seem like a lot of entertainment. But the kebap is great, the guys are working as fast as they can, and you have a lot of time to observe the other customers in the queue.

Went at the behest of local Berlinista's who swore that we must have a doner (pronounced dooner) and we must try the best..... At Mustafa's Food Truck. At only 3,20 Euros, it was much better than most street food should be, with soft crusty bread and deliciously thin sliced chicken with fresh veggies, feta, and lemon. But I personally wouldn't... Stands out from other street food vendors- do not go at a busy time or you might wait in line for an hour or more (we did). Chicken doner (or vegetable kebabs for vegetarians). Take your food into the bar next door and get a beer to go along with it! Solid food but definitely not worth an hour wait... More

We went there for dinner with huge expactations and we weren't dissapointed. I appreciate a lots of veggie - grilled and fresh mix, three types of sauce and the best - feta cheese and everything just topped with fresh lemon juice. That was heaven in my mouth and if you are in Berlin, you should stop for this delicious kebab.

It was cold. It was rainy. But it was soooo good. We are a young married couple wanting a cheap but quality meal. It was accessible by train and very local. Even though we figured it out, I cannot stress enough that you do not need to eat it outside in the cold. The bar next to the Curry 36... More

We waited the 2,5h queue to get two kebabs and one durum. I really don't understand their ratings in all the online web pages. Probably the worse kebab that we have eaten in out lives. Our recommendation is to run away from there as soon as you can.

When you visit Berlin, you should definitely eat some kebab at this place. We were lucky when we visited around 2 pm, because we only had to wait 15 minutes. After we ordered, the waiting line was twice as long, so be prepared to wait a while. However, it is definitely worth it! The kebab with 'gemüse' (grilled vegetables) was... More

Luckily for me, when I went there the line was short. About 5 people before us. Have to say that the food is, indeed, really good! But after living in Berlin for a few months now.. I have realized that this is not the best place to eat kebabs. If there is a huge line... I wouldn't wait for it... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
