Nice restaurant

One of the many nice restaurants in Friedrichshain, this restaurant offers delicious, authentic Sri Lankan food. I was happy with just about everything - the food, the service etc. except for one thing: I found a hair in my meal! I wasn't overly concerned so didn't say anything at the time but it... read more

This restaurant had the perfect atmosphere: Sinhala music, Sigiriya frescoes, comfortable seating, and the lady who served us even said a couple of things in Sinhala. The food was very authentic, and some of the best south Sri Lankan food I've tasted in Europe. It definitely had the most variety I've seen so far in Europe, given that it's not... More

Great location - the restaurant is a bit small, but offers great food for not too high a price. Dishes can be prepared as spicy as you like - and hot means really hot. Highly recommended.

Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly and fast service. Only problem is we ran out of food and had to order more because it was so good.

We expected another more or less Indian restaurant but then were surprised at the additional choices in Sigiriya and loved the taste of our food. We had some kind of dough that tasted like noodles - very good. If there is not outdoor seating, tables are limited and quite cramped. We´ve been here on Halloween. All kids that came in... More

I went there with a friend and we took two vegetarian dishes. I took some SriLanka speciality, but when I got it the taste was not noticeable. Could be that I was expecting some really tasty indian food, but I was really disappointed from a 11€ dish. Was so tasteless that I was just forcing myself to finish it. My... More

As a Brit I love Indian food, but it is extremely hard to find in Berlin. This Sri Lankan restaurant is a great substitute. The curries are excellent and the menu is very interesting. It is a little more expensive that other restaurants in the area, but it is well worth a visit.

Came here for lunch and tried the lunch offer. Good price (6€) and the combination of sweet fruits and veggies are nice, although the portions aren't big enough. The waiter wasn't nice, I'd say even rude and not caring too much. Worth a visit if you're around and up for something different.

Having just been to Sri Lanka a few months ago, we were hopeful that this Sri Lankan restaurant in Berlin would come decently close to the amazing food we had there. The restaurant is in a very interesting part of Berlin with lots of other restaurants and bars with outside seating on the sidewalks. The restaurant is easy to get... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
