As a Brit I love Indian food, but it is extremely hard to find in Berlin. This Sri Lankan restaurant is a great substitute. The curries are excellent and the menu is very interesting. It is a little more expensive that other restaurants in the area, but it is well worth a visit.

Came here for lunch and tried the lunch offer. Good price (6€) and the combination of sweet fruits and veggies are nice, although the portions aren't big enough. The waiter wasn't nice, I'd say even rude and not caring too much. Worth a visit if you're around and up for something different.

Having just been to Sri Lanka a few months ago, we were hopeful that this Sri Lankan restaurant in Berlin would come decently close to the amazing food we had there. The restaurant is in a very interesting part of Berlin with lots of other restaurants and bars with outside seating on the sidewalks. The restaurant is easy to get... More

Right next to Boxhagener platz this cosy restaurant is in the heart of the trendy part of Friedrichshain. The place is doing its best to distinguish itself from "an Indian restaurant", and I think, it works quite well. The cuisine is similar but not at all identical. Try any of the meats or chicken curreis, with a typical Srilankan flatbread.... More

This restaurant is a good walk from the U stop - Samariterstraße . You may have to study the map/location before you go to this place since the area is a bit confusing and there are quite a few streets lined up with restaurants in this area. The restaurant is a small cozy place with outside seating as well.It is... More

I really hated to give this restaurant an average rating because they are very friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere is cozy. It's just that having lived in Sri Lanka and having learned to cook Sri Lankan style from my Sri Lankan step-mother, it just didn't measure up to my expectations. If you're more accustomed to Southern Indian... More

The food tasted genuine exotic. Italian red Merlot was good too, which is not always the case in an exotic cuisine restaurant.

This is not a very pretentious restaurant but the food is very good and looks very authentic. I find that this is even better than Indian food as this is changing from the classic Indian food.

Needed something with a kick to balance out a rather lengthy Berlin evening the night before and stumbled across this gem. Pleasant staff helped me select from their extensive menu just the ticket. My only regret is not staying longer so I can try the rest of the menu... I'll be back for that beet and coconut curry for sure!
