Excellent.. Small plates all done up nice; even the Berlin staple currywurst appears. Not a large menu; we had lunch once and dinner once and covered most of the territory.. Smoked trout is amazing, as are the salads. Great selection of Rieslings. Lovely staff; can't imagine what people do to bring out the dark side of these servers...

At Mesa, you get the tradtitional german food with a modern twist and served in small plates so you can order many plates and share with your friends. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent and the design of the restaurant is breathtaking. The tables are made of leather like ancient castles and there are different settings so it... We had lunch at Mesa when we were staying at Grand Hyatt Berlin. Unfortunately, a waiter at the restaurant named Marie was super rude to us. The restaurant was super busy at lunch and I understood that so I walked over to the staff to ask if they could take our order as we had been sitting for 20 mins.... More

Had a late check in at the Grand Hyatt and decided to have dinner at the restaurant located inside the hotel. First, we were told many times by the waitress, that we could make only one order, because the kitchen would close within half an hour. Fair enough, we sat down even if we didn't really feel so welcome. We... More

Unusual concept but a nice atmosphere, food slightly heavy so also order some salads. Reasonably priced so good value for money.

I was brought here for a business lunch by a client who really likes the place but already warned me that the service was not that great. The decor is very nice and comfortable creating a nice ambiance. I would recommend making a reservation at lunch as its very busy and (we had to settle for a table right by... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
