Fantastic!!

The best dinner we had in Berlin. Fantastic Thai food. Worth every euro! Small restaurant and popular restaurant with just a few tables so I recommend booking a table.

Sitting in our son and daughter in law's flat , wondering where to eat, our friend found this gem on her phone.......and it was only a 5-10 min walk away. There were no tables available on our arrival, but we were asked if we wanted to try again in about 30 mins, which we did....and they found a table for... More

Went here following trip advisor search. Lovely little place, easy to get to on bus no.200 from Alexanderplatz. Great for vegetarians, whole page of options. Fresh, tasty and great value for money. Happy!

This place has been on my list for quite a while, but the location isn't super convenient to the part of town I live in. On Monday, we decided to give it a try because our favorite Thai Place (Golden Thai on Koloniestraße) is closed on Mondays. At first I was kind of put off because when I ordered Pad... More

We always travel and eat at fine dining spots so this trip we just went for casual good food places and we are so happy we did. We very much enjoyed this Thai restaurant! All of our dishes were delicious and the server was great. Very nice family run place. Only low point was that they didn't have mango and... More

Hello, thank you for your nice report about Taleh Thai. Also we are a little bit disappointed about that the regular visitors only order the baked banana with ice. Thanks to our Chinese friends ;). Sticky rice with mango is much loved in Thailand and we love it too. So we looking forward to present this as an home made... More

Small is beautiful. Fantastic food and inexpensive. Not a big restaurant so advisable to book if you want to eat there. We didn't get in but they were happy to do a take away, which suited us, as we were staying in a rented apartment nearby.

We met friends here to catch up and location suited us. I really didn't expect to be so blown away by this place. The service was a joy to experience. If it lacked anything it was the stuffy professionalism that spoils so many places. Excellent variety of tea and drinks. Soup was fresh and spicy. Thai green was tasty and... More

Yesterday we went for a thai restaurant, and since we didn't know any particular place in Berlin, we got Taleh Thai by Tripadvisor. In the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, in a really quite area we discovered the pleasure to eat some real and genuine thai food; I think it was one of the best ever! Owner and workers are really... More

On a hot May evening we searched this place as it was close to our hotel. We got the last table in the street (no problem, quiet street) and the host was really kind and helpful in selecting the specialities of the house. We started with a Chardonnay. Ice water was for free, and we appreciate that. We selected dishes... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
