Went to 12 Apostel a Friday night with my girlfriend. The staff was super friendly, and the pizzas we got were very good. The starters we ordered were kind of boring, but decent. The portions were extremely large - both the pizza and especially the starters. I would recommend sharing starters or just getting pizzas. The place is very large,... More

Having a daughter who is not so adventurous with her cuisine we skipped the local sausages and opted for pizza. The restaurant is big and located in railway arches near the main museums. Service was very good and the pizzas were excellent and were plenty for my large appetite! In fact they were so good we went back for more... More

We visited this restaurant with friends and I was positively surprised. The experience surpassed my expectation. Nicely done, tasteful food, service was prompt. The size of the portions was just unbelievable. I almost could not finish my main course. I would certainly come back for lunch/dinner with kids or friends. It is not a fine dining but very good for... More

On the way from Fredriechstrasse s-bahn station to museum island I recognised the name from my lonely planet guide book. My wife and I, along with our 3 young children (aged 1-6yrs) decided to try it and were not disappointed. It is located under the railway line arches so there is Some occasional noise from passing trains but nothing that... More

It's located near the Museum Island which makes it a good stop-over and break in between museum visits. We went during weekday lunch and was happy to find out that they have weekday lunch promos at very good deals. We ordered a pizza and salad to share. The waiter was nice and asked whether we are sharing the pizza. The... More

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff spoke English and were very pleasant and attentive. All nine of us had a great meal. My son ordered a small pizza and was surprised when they baked it in the shape of a bunny! It was super delicious too.

Large tasty pizzaas and salads. On a sunny day you can sit outside taking in the sun.its just a fes minutes from Museum Island so it a fine stop for lunch and a break. The lunchnspeical has all pizza at €8.50 so it is good value.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
