The staff were casual, abrupt, not interested in explaining items on the menu and most shocking could see no validity in being Michelin rated( This was from the manager!!) As to the food it was mediocre at best. The sommelier has no understanding of what fumed or oaked meant with respect to white wine. An altogether really dismal experience and comparable... More

A fantastic restaurant, service attentive but not over the top, the food was outstanding with every course a taste sensation. Not cheap but excellent value.

A wonderful " taster " 7 course menue - small portions but each one full of flavour and looked fabulous on the plates . Each course was complimented with a small glass of wine - plenty of flavours Really pleasant relaxed atmosphere .

We made a reservation at this restaurant because it has one Michelin star. I admit that i verified before also the reviews from tripadvisor and even if the last ones were not very positive, I had trust - and i made the best choice. The service was very good, and the meal was almost perfect. I consider it "almost" because... More

We had one of the tasting menus at this restaurant and were not disappointed. The wine pairings were well-matched and focused on wines from Germany and Austria, which I enjoyed. The service was also good - not overly formal but I preferred this as it gave our meal a more laid back feel. We went during the autumn and had... More

We like to frequent restaurants with one or more stars. After the poor amuse bouche (a fritured haring?!) we started the six courses with wine pairing. Each course was not "star" worthy and there was nothing special about the different dishes. The wine was brought by a regular waiter insted of a sommelier, these were only low ranking, too young... We enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service at this lovely little restaurant in suburban Berlin. The restaurant is quite a traditional style building and actually rather small inside but we were lucky enough to visit during excellent weather so dined al fresco. There were plenty of interesting options on the menu, one of those where it's hard to decide... More

We had a good meal at Hartmanns and the service was excellent. The food was very good, but a bit trapped in that passion for foams and it was a bit too tortured for us, in other words a bit 90s. The restaurant itself has a bit of an old fashioned or traditional air, despite the foams, but the service... More

This was my second time in this resturant. (last time was in October 2012) Excellent service and amazing food. I chose the 4 course menu with Corresponded wine (you get 4 different wine glasses appropriate to each course) . Prices are not cheap - 120 euros for my meal but worth every euro. Aspired chef. I will visit again.

The restaurant is sitting in a rather quiet zone (I didn't find a busy area in Berlin anyway). Portions are not abundant to be kind and service is very sloooooow. Indeed you don't taste often flavors combined like this, but it's not worth the final bill (€ 60 per person for a 3 tiny courses menu). Deceiving
