One of my favourite places in Alexanderplatz. Good food and good beer, at a reasonable price, Steps up to the door can be a trial.
I was recommended this place by a friend and when we finally found it, we were so glad we visited. The food is typically German, so yes, that's going to be focused on meat and sausage etc. I had my first ever sauerkraut there (when in Rome) and I was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend liked the beer, I liked the... More
The food and the beer are good but I got my iPhone stoled while I was eating my lunch. I can suggest this place but keep your stuff closed to you.
We went to the brauhaus with a group of 5 and the decoration inside is fine with a set of nice copper kettle's and all. The service was verry impolite, if you ordered another drink than beer you got a sour face. The waiter put the orders with the wrong people and were hard to find for additional orders. (it... More
Visited on Saturfday night and was very busy but fortunately we had booked a table a few hours before. It has a large dining area and quite noisy when full. The service was quite good and we found it easier to order by numbers. I had the pork knucle which looked huge but there was a lot of bone and... More
We went on a late Sunday night and I didn't hold out much hope. I am glad to say I was wrong. It was very busy, service was friendly and efficient and the food was a good comfort offering. I had goulash with bread dumpling that was excellent, well spiced meat and very moreish dumplings. The wine list was good... More
If you find yourself in the area of Museum Island or Alexander Platz and are hungry, this is a place you need to try. We had just finished our day of museum seeing and needed a place to sit and enjoy a hearty dinner. Having lived in Germany for the last three years, we weren’t interested in schmaltzy tourist German.... More
By great fortune my wife and I found ourselves staying very closely to the excellent restaurant and bar. The staff were most helpful with my faltering German but seemed to appreciate the effort I made. We rarely eat at the same restaurant on consecutive nights but this place demanded a return. The very well cooked and presented food was complimented... More
Visited three similar types of restaurants in Berlin and this was absolutely the childfrendliest (5 children in our company). Good Service.
Visited on a Thursday night and a group of 5 of us got the last table as the place was very busy. We all enjoyed our food (pork knuckles, sausages, and the desserts were also really large). There is a crispy pork knuckle on the menu which I wished I'd tried. Best part was some of the home brew beers.... More
