Nice brauhaus close to the Radisson Bleu

This place, granted is more for the tourists, has a nice fair and, most importantly, good beer. It's very convenient to the Radisson Bleu and has a nice view. The staff was very friendly and the food was good authentic german, not americanized for the tourists.

We tried to go on May 16. It was closed for renovations, which might take some time. Check status first. If you are looking for good beer in Berlin in the meantime, try Brauhaus Lemke out near the Brohan Museum.

The restaurant is closed for major renovations/construction. I was told through the end of 2015. Located just south of the S bahn line in Alexanderplatz

Went during day when restaurant was not busy. Experienced good service and very good food. Would recommend trying this spot if you are in Berlin.

First impression when we came in was brilliant. Really helpful waitress took us in to table, took our orders quickly and was serving us however he could, taking orders and bringing orders in decent speed. It's something I have used to in Germany. My beef wasn't too interesting, quite chewy and tasteless, but the Belgian waffles were good. What takes... More

Good traditional food with own brewed beer but poor service. Main restaurant looked good but we were placed in a corner under the stairs.

As we were staying in Alexanderplatz, we thought we would try this at the end of our stay, and it was local. We had dined at a number of guide book recommended laces, this was not on the list. The beer was OK, it's supposed to be brewed on the premises. My daughter's baked potato was not fully cooked, my... More

Place located near Alexandreplatz with typical german dishes. The place is very big, so you will find a place to sit at any time. Polite staff, though not hearty. Normal menu, I expected more options but it was really ok. We ordered a potato soup, two plates, one with sausages, coleslaw and mashed potatoes and another with beef, coleslaw and... More

We saw a sign for an on site German Brewery and were so glad we decided to take a look, the beer was exactly as it should be, all varieties, light, dark, wheat even the non alcoholic was good. We asked for a reservation to eat and although the place was bursting at the seams (lots of large groups -... More

This brew house was a welcome break after the freezing Xmas markets. Very busy - in a good way. Full of local Berliners and tourists alike creates a great atmosphere Great for beer and a large dinner for not too much money. Found the service to be good and attentive.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
