Stylish, expencive, slow, small portions

The good side of the restaurant is very well made design - it's all made in classical Spanish style, reminds me Valencia a lot. Attention for small details - mozaik, "Caballeros" sign on the restroom, menu primary language is Spanish, and so on. So if you miss Spain while being in Berlin - good... read more

Food was ok but the service is appalling. When drinks take 10 minutes to arrive after ordering, you know you are in for an ordeal. Not surprisingly, food took ages to arrive, and was just average - and unfortunately, the staff don't seem to care. Far better places to spend your hard-earned.

Visited for lunch in March 2015. The place was "so so", the service was average but the tapas were excellent. We shared the two person mixed tapas plate which was great!

Meat is good! Beer should be served much colder. Prices normal! But NOT recommend for the families with baby - no babychair and no diaper cleaning facility;(

We went for a late fruhstuck to this restaurant as a break from museums. The menu looked good and the prices were fine. The problem was that the staff were too interested in each other to bother to serve.

Food was half warm and half cold. Some pieces of lamb and chicken were stone cold in the centre. Head chef was rude and said they would just reheat our food in the microwave. Walked out as this could be a health issue.

Food was not pretty bland and half warmed and half cold in the same tapas dish. Atmosphere was pretty dreary, with no one seeming to have a great time. Sides were big standard, no thrills... Wine was nice and service quick. Wouldn't go again though.

I have been here 3 times now and I allways love going to Vivolo. The tapas are nice and it is fairly priced. Also it's in a nice less known neighbourhood of Berlin which I love coming back to: Hackischer Markt. The restaurant is big so there is always place for you, even with a larger group. I would definitely... More

We had lunch outside, got the currywurst and pomme frittes deal (about €4) with a beer each. Even though it was lunchtime this restaurant was dead. Food was quick nice - cant go wrong with a curried sausage and chips. But what was annoying was that the lady brought us our check and before handing it over told us that... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
