You have to try the schnitzels here. They are superb: juicy, tasty and huge! The beer was very good too! The place has a very nice ambiance and you can have dinner outside with a very nice view to the river and the surrounding area (including the impressive statue of St George next to the restaurant.

Being my first time in Berlin, in Germany in fact, I'm no expert on 'authentic Berliner' cuisine or atmosphere, but this place certainly felt like the real deal, and even if not, twas damn tasty! For €10 I got the house special, boiled pork knuckle with sauerkraut, potato dumplings, a shot, and a small beer, all of which was fantastic.... More

This is a good brauhaus in the Niikolei Quarter, across the Spree River from the Museum Island to the right. It's located in a small square with a statue of St George and has lots of outside seating. A real German specialty is Eisbein (ham hock) with sauerkraut. Very succulent and tasty; with a small beer, only 11 euros.

Had both beer and brew here but the beer was far superior to the food. This is in a lovely spot by the river and is very busy indeed. It is a great place for beer try both the light and dark either way watch out for the potency. Enjoy

Brauhaus GEORGBRAEU is in the Nikolai Quarter of the city, the old core of Berlin, a very very nice place! We ordered one of the hearty Berlin dish, braised leg of pork with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. The serving is super big! Pair it with their dark beer! A fantastic experience!

After being advised to go here if we wanted to have good beer, i must say thats the best advice i have ever been given. They serve the grand total of one beer in light or dark, brewed on site. I only had the light but it was lovely. My partner and I on our first visit had 8 pints,... More

Returning to Berlin and not being far from the Alexanderplatz, I decided to seek out the restaurant and take my family. We all had a cooked lunch with beer followed by either a dessert or coffee. For 4 adults the bill was 77 Euros ex tip. The service was very friendly and atmosphere just as you would hope in a... More

I have been to this Brauhaus twice now, and would go again. The food is great, as is the beer,m and there is a great atmosphere. Very traditionally decorated and attractive. The service is not particularly friendly, but it is quick and efficient. A very nice way to spend an evening.

i had been before and couldn't wait to return, however they refused to let us sit outside which made absolutely no sense as all the tables were free, and it was warm and sunny outside in a great location. manager with the moustache was rude and confrontational and i would never return.

We had dinner here one night and enjoyed the experience enough to drop by for a pre-prandial beer on a second evening. It's a pleasant spot, relaxed atmosphere, hearty German food and decent beer - go for the dark Pils which is more flavourful than the light version. Some reviewers have complained about the staff but we found them very... More
