Was determined to try traditional German food and this little beauty of a restaurant was 500m from the hotel. Everything is cooked from scratch not reheated so be prepared to wait a wee bit longer for courses. The roasted pork and Smoked gammon was superb with sautéed potatoes sauerkraut with red cabbage with raisins and apple. Excellent service and superb... More

I didn't eat here, instead I came for a drink and a break from the oppressive heat. It was around the corner from the hotel that I was staying at. I had a glass of German Riesling sat down on one of the cozy armchairs by the window and watched Mitte life going by. I did have a look at... More

This is a real gem of a pub/restaurant that locals frequent. It features good quality authentic German food in a pleasant pub-like atmosphere. Reservations are recommended.

In a nice neighbourhood, I had the kase spaetzle and the schnitzel which were both great. Would go again. Water was really expensive though.

What a surprise to leave the Pergamon hungry and end up in this wonderful place. We loved the food which was authentic, simple and delicious. The service was excellent as was the place itself. Prices super fair but only cash!

What a lovely night we had at Schwarzwaldstuben! Our Brewer's Walking Tours guide pointed this little gem out while we were passing through the neighborhood. It was just what we were looking for: a cozy, authentic restaurant outside of the tourist zone where we could rub shoulders with the locals and enjoy delicious local fare and crisp beers. We even... The chef was great! Simply traditional food but with a modern twist. Simple food but it was very tasty. Not like some restaurants we tried in berlin they just spent so much time on presentation but give you second quality on food itself. We came to eat twice. The second time was even better. The dessert was some german pancake... More

We really enjoyed our time at Schwarzwaldstuben. The food was a modern take on traditional German fare, which is precisely the sort of thing we wanted on our trip to Berlin. We both loved our meals and have made sure to add them to our repertoires at home! We arrived at a very busy time and hadn't booked, but the... More

We ate here twice while in Berlin, dinner and lunch. It's basically traditional German food, but it was vey well made, and more updated than some other German restaurants/pubs we went to. I had a lovely schnitzel with fried potatoes, and a stuffed pasta dish with potato salad, and my partner had game sausages with amazing rosemary mash, and their... More
