Delicious German dindins

I took my boyfriend's mum here for her first nighty when she came to visit me, and can really recommend it. The atmosphere was buzzy, the food was delicious and the prices are Ok for the quality of the food: I had a huge portion of Maultaschen to reminisce on my time spent living near Stuttgart... read more

Breakfast is tasty, special and beautifully decorated with fruit and berries, lunch was wholesome and unique. Service was the friendliest we got in Berlin: when we weren't sure about ordering a dish we didn't know, they just brought a sample for us to try before we choose.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first night in Berlin at this great pub. The food did not disappoint. We were intrigued with their asparagus menu and tried out the starter of asparagus and beef salad which was delicious. This was then followed by a deer goulash with asparagus noodles which was very different but very tasty. The schnitzel is also really... More

We found this gem of a pub several years ago and try to go here on any trip we take to Berlin as it's a fantastic pub serving great meal's and some very interesting beer's. The layout of the pub is fabulous, light and airy ,hunting trophies adorn the wall's, nice comfortable seating and a classic interior make for a... More

Seriously one of the best selections of breakfast foods I have had. Everything was delicious. Wait was long for a dish that didn't really need to be cooked except the egg, but still worth it and cheap!

Love love loved it… We found this restaurant on Yelp and were very impressed with the reviews so we decided to check it out for lunch. The place has a very nice and cozy atmosphere, gets lots of light, and has a hip and casual décor. We sat at the bar, most tables were taken. There were a lot of... More

Absolutely delicious breakfast! My wife and I came for breakfast on our first morning in Berlin. The nice waitress offered us a menu in English, after I butchered the German language asking if they were open, and that we would like some breakfast. With the sun shining in through the big windows, the place offered a really romantic morning vibe.... More

Went to this restaurant with my parents and baby and was pleasantly suprised by how family friendly the place was. The food was delicious and traditional and the vibe was very modern. Great spot! Will go again when we visit Berlin.

Good beer, great food and a fun family atmosphere make this a good destination when you want to relax and chill and eat. But beware it is cash only.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
