We were there for the finale, we could not found a better place for it, good food, good beer, very good service... a special thanks to the black waitress which make the atmosphere more happy, and finally good Germans. We were a mixed group of Germans and Italians and we did enjoy the place a lot. Thanks guys.

There is something strange with the Germans. They are admirable for their music, literature and poetry, philosophy - and on the other hand, some of them are so vulgar, bad humor, xenophobia and heavy gurgled speech. I have to confess, - even I don`t know why -, the basic level of social friction at the beer cellars, is fascinates me.... More

I have been to this restaurant several times over the past seven years, and I love the slice of the Rhineland on the Spree. I almost always order Flammkuchen- an Alsatian flatbread, washed down with a few glasses of Koelsch. This is a favorite hangout for journalists and Rhineland politicos displaced from Bonn to Berlin when it became Germany's capital.... More

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and beer. It was fully booked but they found a place for us. Not expensive.

I found this bar by accident on my second visit to Berlin (in 2010). I was amazed that it sold Kolsch (light beer) which is normally sold on in Cologne. Apparently, the history of the bar is 'a mini Cologne/Bonn' from the change of Governent moving to Berlin which brought employess from those cities who wanted to bring a bit... More

Sat outside and the three of us had an excellent meal, plenty of it, accompanied by good beer. View from just outside the restaurant not as good as on the riverside, but a good location.

Typical Kölsch restaurant with a lot of good dishes and of course, one of the most famous beer of Cologne.

On our first night in Berlin we were so happy to find a busy, obviously popular German-food restaurant just around the corner from our accommodation. We had the currywurst, Flammkuchen and several draught beers and were happy with all of it. Staff was polite and very attentive despite the restaurant being full. Decor is interesting with framed photographs up the... More

We've been visiting since 2009, and even after a few years we were recognised by Zanzi, the largest waiter alive. Also, herr Vogel still rules the toilet area. Of old, this is a journalists' and politicians' café, formerly based in Bonn, and you can always count on interesting conversations here. Otherwise you can spend hours looking at all the pictures...
