Great Food and amazing view onto the Festung Marienberg

This was a very special event, the engagement party for our daughter and her fiancée, who live in Seattle, WA. We dined here on our only night in Wurzburg. It was a great choice. The evening was slightly cool but many people were enjoying glasses of wine outside the restaurant and on the nearby bridge---die Alte Mainbrücke. Our reservation was for 8:00 p.m. but we arrived early and they were able to seat us at 6:30. The food was delicious... More

When to Würzburg doing business, and wanted to have a dressert at this great location with at the Unesco bridge. The place is lovely inside and out, and we were not late to get a table and a nice waiter. we got a very good chocolate dessert with ice cream, and a hot chocolate to it. We just ordered one... We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the bridge. Do recommend a table with an umbrella as the sun may shift and be directly in your eyes (we were fortunate that our server adjusted the umbrella for us). My husband ordered the cheese and ham omlette which was served with brown bread. I enjoyed some simple eggs served with a fresh role. The... More

The place to sample local wine while taking in the views from Alte Mainbruecke. Good value local food that has a touch of class. For those who don't want to brave the outdoors in the colder season there is a covered area with a wood burner . For more formal dining there is a charming restaurant area.

main attraction is its site by the river. We found the crowds of people drinking gluh wein off-putting (but it was near Christmas).

This is traditional Franconian food served well in a charming atmosphere and by a friendly and helpful staff. My chestnut soup was just ok, but the deer goulash was superb. I would recommend this place to friends and travellers! Be sure to make a reservation or go in between lunch and dinner in order to get a good table (by... More

Very romantic place with a pretty view over the old bridge and the main river. Try to get a window place! Lots of residents hanging out there for Glühwein and grilled sausages at the fire place. Waiters are very friendly. Food is typical Franconia.

Located on river edge next to bridge. Had dinner on a cold winters night. Whole trout with vegetables, fish perfectly cooked. Chocolate souffle/cake yummy. Warm beef salad generous serving.

Lovely location next to the river, staff attentive but not overbearing. Food excellent - nothing to complain about at all. Would definitely go again when in town. Can highly recommend the zander.
