If you are a fan of Franken wine, you need no second bidding to go to the Juliusspital Weinstube! Excellent choice of wines from the vineyards around Wurzburg, and a good selection of honest, unfussy food. Well prepared Wienerschnitzel, and - if you have room - delicious puddings. Convenient opening hours, with hot food available non-stop from 11 a.m. to... More

Englis menu and great food and a great experience. Good wines and a fair value. This would have been a great experience if we would have had a less push waiter who really tried to get us to leave a tip. We normally tip but we were really turned off when he almost demanded that he add it to our... More

Went with my parents and we were very well received, the place has a very good atmosphere and the wine is excellent. The Smoked Juniper Trout is very tasty, also the Wild Game Pork goulash is a delicious mix with the franconian noodle with the apple pureé.

In Wurzburg, the rich made it a habit to support the needy and ill. Part of this to the form of restaurants and wine cellars that benefited the hospitals they were attached to. The Juliusspital is one such. They have an extensive wine list, with many wines "on tap" (no beer, so don't ask) and a nice menu of local... More

its one of the oldest and most know wineries as well as hospitals in wurzburg. it enjoys a great recognition amongst the frankonian population and wins prices for its wine every year! highly recommendable if you want to experience a superior selection of frankonian wines and dishes.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch a few weeks ago, mainly to try the wine. The interior of the restaurant looked very nice and the outdoor space was better. We sat outdoors and tried two different white wines. I had the beef and my boyfriend had the escargot. Both dishes were lovely. This restaurant definitely warrants a stop.... More

My husband and I dined here on a recent trip to Wurzburg. We went without reservations and were able to sit inside at a lovely and comfortable table. We both thought that the decor was very nice and appreciated that they had an english language version of their menu available. Our waiter was excellent. He was attentive without being overbearing... Went on Friday night without reservations. The terrace was packed, so we sat inside. It was quite busy, but we didn't have a problem getting a table for 2. The menu has a variety of Germanic food that is excellent and has great wine parings - just ask the waiter to get you one. We had the cheese starter (ok),... More

Würzburg is blessed with several very good wine cellars. Alas, there is little to differentiate one from another. For the guest, it means you can choose almost any of the big names and be satisfied.
