Wonderful from start to finish

First things first. Make a reservation for goodness sakes. Next, save room for the absolutely incredible apple strudel dessert. You won't ever regret the tastes and sweetness of that delectable portion. Our reservation for a terrace (outside front door, street side) table was honored on time... read more

Great dinner in an ancient old home. Very quaint and rustic. A great value too! Rack of pork ribs with a salad and bread for €12! Delicious! Staff is very friendly and personable. You feel as if you are over at a friend's home for dinner.

Really nice experience. We had a candlelight dinner downstairs in what I would call a cave. It was good fun. Dinner was very good. Beer delicious. Staff were very nice and fully explained the dishes to us. Recommend.

Its worth a visit. - PLEASE CALL and book - I booed via email and they never received it - ended up hungry and grumpy and waited for 45 mins, got upset with the waiter, Massimo who with his Italian charm sorted it out and we ended up with a lovely meal. Th best time to book it either 6.30pm... More

This place was amazing!! Owned by the same beautiful people of the hotel we stayed while here (Herrnschloesschen), it was a marvellous experience. The food was amazing with great local wines and beer. We had a few dishes accompanied by in season asparagus! The staff are friendly and warm, we felt like we were eating in their home. So while... This restaurant is situated in a 950 year old house. We had the veal in a mushroom sauce, the steak kabobs and a cheese selection. The food was excellent and the wait staff very nice. The wine list was more extensive than most small German restaurants. Don't let the older appearance of the setting steer you away, this is good... More

We learned about this restaurant from the night watchman's tour. We went the next evening expecting to find a line up. However we got a table immediately and enjoyed being "in hell". The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

What a fantastic meal - the skewers, soup, sausages, cheeses, etc were all fantastic. Our group of 9 shares plates and everyone enjoyed themselves. The service was great - very friendly. We even got to hang out with the Night Watchman. Could not recommend more highly.

A cosy but slightly cramped restaurant. A very welcoming staff with an interesting limited menu. Comfort food is the best description, well cooked and well presented and inexpensive. The restaurant is justifiably popular but regrettably under staffed and service was stretched as a consequence. It is difficult to balance great value as this is with additional staffing costs so something... More

We didnt reserve a seat but rocked up early at 5.30 and were offered a seat. Everything from begining yo end was fabtastic. By far the best meal we have had while here in Germany and the most heartfelt service!! We had the asparagus soup (deliciously creamy-could have ended there it was so good) and hubby had the meat skewer... More
