Authentic and wonderful

A must eat here in Germany. This food was tremendous. I think if this restaurant was in Atlanta, reservations would be booked a year in advance. It's also in one of the oldest buildings in Rothenberg. Loved it!

I would go here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful setting, amazing food, excellent service and so inviting. My husband and I went a few years ago and I still think about this experience. I have the wine glasses that I drink from still and reminisce that I will return. So much history! I felt so much a part of the... More

We stayed for two nights in Rottenburg and are here both nights - why risk having awful tourist food if you love your first meal?! Awesome service and great suggestions for wine etc to match the meal (try the local white presented in a flat bottle). First night we had the skewers (meat was ever so slightly dry) and the... More

This place has a small but exceptional food menu. The waiter/host's service was perfect. He had a distinct nature to make the experience excellent and a memorable experience. A must go!

Excellent selection of beers and wines. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very "baroque". Love the carved tables and chairs. The wurst platter is well worth trying!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here - traditional German fare of duck and potatoes. The atmosphere of the place is great - that of an old traditional inn. I've given the score average because this was the most expensive meal we had on our trip.

I had emailed the restaurant for reservations as it was Valentines day..they kindly emailed back saying they didn't have space at the time I needed, but they had availability at 5pm. Although a little early, I wanted to check out the oldest house in Rothenburg. So we arrived and were pleasantly greeted by a lady/waitress. We ordered the lamb, the... More

We had a great dinner in this charming little candlelit restaurant. The menu was easy to read and we were able to order dinner that the children enjoyed. We had a little trouble finding this place but it was worth it. Try to make a reservation as it is small with limited seating,

Same owner's as the Herrenschlösschen. Same excellent service. Good selection of local specialities including different wines from the area. The rooms are nicely decorated. Reservations should be made as there is limited seating capacity.

It's a good place to have a relax dinner here. The restaurant was warm and friendly, and the food was perfect! They have something special that didn't on the menu, you must try it. You can ask for suggestion about the wine as well, and the waiter (probably boss) always smile.
