This restaurant was fantastic. Both the food and the service was exceptional and the inside very quaint and traditional! Even though they were busy, the waiters were the most attentive of any restaurant my family and I ate in during our time in Rothenburg. The waiters were patient (even as I attempted to practice my German!), enthusiastic and extremely friendly.... More

The menu is very limited but both my husband and I enjoyed what we got, I ordered the ribs and my husband got the meat skewer. It's a very unique old house and is really a must during a visit to Rothenburg. We got there around 5:30 without a reservation and although there was mention of it being packed most... More

From the moment you walk in, you realise is place is special. The atmosphere is of a cosy mediaeval pub. The staff, warm and welcoming. The menu is home-style Bavarian, and the dishes we had were fantastic. We obviously much have shown our enjoyment as the host offered us seconds!

Spent the weekend in Rothenburg for my Birthday, and decided to eat here on the Saturday evening, we got there fairly early having read the reviews that it got busy later in the evening, and reservations required. We were lucky to be shown to a table straight away. The restaurant itself is small, quaint and has a good atmosphere. The... More

Surelly one of the worsts meals i have in my life. The menu only offers three options of plates but guess what: none was available. So we have to chose between duck and meet that originally dont appeared in the menu. We tried the meet. It was awful. We only felt the taste of oil. In fact, it remains in... More

A typically German 'stube' --small and rustic--great atmosphere. Very popular. Long line-ups. Must reserve. Service friendly and efficient...food delicious. Prices fair.

We spent a couple of days in this charming little town, and this was our favourite restaurant find. Recommended by our hotel, and rated highly on TA, our expectations were high. It is fantastic basic german food in a quaint atmosphere. A must-try in Rottenburg!

Small quaint restaurant with limited menu (one vegetarian item) but very good typical German food. Restaurant has an amazing history ... come before 7 or you will wait ...
