I've been in the Eisenhut several time and every time I enjoy it. The restaurant decor and staff dresses evoke the Franconia's tradition and it's always a remarkable experience eat here. Staff is very king and service is fast; the dishes choice is good and as the wines and beers choice; the menu in general has a good value for... More

We had a wonderful bottle of Sekt for our first night in Germany. Asparagus was in season so there was a special menu in addition to the regular menu. We mixed and matched and had a very pleasant evening. Service was good and helpful. We had a table close to the terrace which gave us early evening views out across... More

Restaurant architectural style and furnishings were very nice--clearly a higher end look and feel. Food also was very good--we had their multi-course tasting and creativity, taste, and presentation were all very well done. The only disappointment was the service. They tried but for some reason, they were very harried, rushing from table to table and several minor mistakes were made.... More

Went for our anniversary. Atmosphere was quaint with an old-world historical charm. Exceptional gourmet cuisine was second to none...compliments to the chef. Waitress was superb. Her wine recommendation was a perfect match for the meal. Dessert was to die for. Will definitely dine here again soon.

We had a lovely three course dinner from a fixed menu. Both my husband and I have allergies, but the service staff and chef immediately offered alternate plates to meet our needs. I had a pork tenderloin, and my husband had venison. Both pieces of meat were fork tender and flavorful. Soup with a broth, dumplings and lots of flavor... More

Went for dinner in a group of four and we all enjoyed the food and the service. The experience gets a "thumbs up" and a strong recommendation.

After taking a leisurely walk through and around Rothenburg, we stopped in for an after dinner cocktail. It was a beautiful, warm evening, and as we watching the setting sun light up the southern side of Rotherburg, we enjoyed delicious Aperol Spritzes and conversation with other guests. A wonderful, peaceful place to enjoy good service and great cocktails.

This is a first class five star restaurant in Rothenburg ob der tauber in a beautiful old hotel. We had to make reservations for dinner as it is very very popular. I ordered Saddle of Lamb in an olive crust with broiled tomato and potato gratin. The Lamb was served on tomato slices (thick) over a rich wine reduction sauce.... More

The food was delicious and presented well. However, It was VERY expensive and didn't include any drinks. It took four hours for the five courses. We would have enjoyed some entertainment, like Carolers, for such a fancy and long Christmas Eve event.

I had three dishes at Eisenhut which all tasted very nice. The food would get 4 stars, but because the waitress was constantly coughing whilst bringing the food and taking the plates I would not give more than 3 stars. She would cough directly in her hands and straight after touch the plates and cutlery. Extremely unhygienic. I think it's... More
