Traditional German Cuisine

The restaurant has an old world charm, with art deco lamps and furniture and lots of old photographs and paintings on the walls. The food is traditional German fare : lots of meat, potatoes, heavy sauces. We enjoyed it, but don't come if you're on a diet. Their idea of healthy is a "sausage salad... read more

We came here after reading reviews, expecting a great meal & were completely underwhelmed unfortunately. The service was good but the food was pretty standard fare. I had the meat selection & my husband has the bratwurst. Both were nice enough but nothing worth a return visit.

We ate there the first night in Fussen. We stumbled on it and it looked interesting: what a great find! It has a good selection of local food, English speaking staff (some not all) and friendly service. My husband is vegetarian and they had several excellent choices for him. It was the perfect start to out vacation!Great local food, friendly... More

What earns an excellent from me has more to do with atmosphere than sustenance - and Madame Plusch stands out as one of the coziest most enjoyable settings I've had a meal in. Tucked in a tiny cobblestone alley, you immediately get the feeling that you've entered a home that is doubling as a restaurant. Stepping down into what should... More

We loved Madame Plusch! Adorable atmosphere, authentic delicious food, friendly service. We stayed at Hotel Hirsch, so the location was perfect.

We use tripadvisor every time we chose a new restaurant or a hotel. This is the first time we regretted that. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived on Saturday evening. The tables were big and the service good. Mains cost from 15 to 25 euros. We ordered a duck which was dry and overcooked and came with some... More

Lovely nostalgic restaurant with excellent traditional German food. Food was fresh and very tasty. Staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and very efficient and did their very best to explain the traditional dishers in english. Very reasonably priced for the size of the meals and service. For the true nostalgic feel ask for a table upstairs. Highly recommend

My meal was delicious. I had the roast beef (bred in the Alps), covered in fried onions and served with the cheese noodles. Also the potato soup with croutons. It was all fabulous - the meat was excellently flavored and incredibly savory. The noodles were very cheesy and both were generous portions. The soup was a great appetizer. Cozy Bavarian... More

The most important thing about our experience is the food, of course! For starters, I had gluwhein in 7 different cities and this cup was the best. Secondly, we ordered a large salad with shredded cheese and I cannot put my finger on the dressing but it was fantastic. The salad also contained corn and many other surprises. It easily... More
