Using local seasonal produce is central to the creation of this modern German and international cuisine. Nowadays it is imperative to know what you eat and drink, hence we put the greatest emphasis on the quality of our food, thus most of our meat is purchased from local farmers. Being cooked and delivered in an imaginative yet no-nonsense manner it has made dining at The "Deutsches Haus" an experience in its own right. Our ,,Ancient German" restaurant seats 90 guests in three locations. During the summer meals are also served on our spacious terrace opening onto the "wine-market".

We had the daily set menu which was very good and I felt was reasonably priced. The service was a little lacking, perhaps it may be due to the lack of service staff on that day. Unfortunately there was a mix up in our main course and we ended waiting for our main course for over an hour. The restaurant... More

Stopped in for dinner based on input from trip advisor . I was delighted . Great location , historic hotel with beautiful architecture instead and out. Makes for a great atmosphere inside. I had the venison , and duck soup and both were as good as any that I have ever had . Simply superb . The service was also... More

Whilst staying at the hotel, we dined in the restaurant. The restaurant decor is in keeping with the rest of the hotel with lots of wood paneling and a painted heraldic ceiling. This keeps you interested whilst waiting for the kitchen to supply your meal. The food was very good. My wife chose the local dish of Farmers Steak which... More

I love everything about this restaurant. it is where I have had some of my very best meals on par with other nice restaurants I have been to around the world. I look forward to coming here for at least two meals every time I am in Dinklesbuhl, which is about once a year. we have business meeting/lunches here and... More

From the outside you would not know that inside was a wonderful restaurant with excellent food. We selected the set menu which was reasonably priced. The set menu was not displayed on the menu outside the restaurant but included in the menu as handed to us and did not disappoint. The service was very friendly, attentive and without fault. We... We were really surprised at the quality of the food and service. For what we paid it was exceptional value for money. We had a 3 course meal for 25 euro per person, which, considering the quality of the food was amazing value. Soup was delicious - amongst the best I've tasted, Lamb was perfectly cooked. Service was very professional... More

It does not look like anything special, but this restaurant is really good - and in my opinion the service is fine. I would call the foor international gourmet - no special national cuisine, just good food nicely presented. It is also not cheap - unless you go for the set menu; the set menu is really good value. I... More

We loved it! Spent a wonderful weekend. Love their rooms with the decor. Had dinner twice at the restaurant. Food is delicious and the staff really spoilt us. Can't wait to come back. Not too long :)
