Quiet and good food

The service was quick and efficient. We had a very nice trout with parsley potatoes and the veal with spaetzle. Both were very good. There was too much veal for me, but my husband finished it off. It was a nice, quiet, outside courtyard that we enjoyed our meal in. However, as soon as someone... read more

A group of 10 of us ate here for a business dinner, outside in the courtyard. This restaurant starts the day quietly but its popularity for lunch and dinner is an indication of its nice quality and service. We were served promptly and our orders were correct. I can highly recommend the schnitzel which was thin, juicy and satisfying. Highly... More

We spotted the delightful courtyard through the archway by the cathedral and then decided to sit out in the unseasonably warm April afternoon sunshine. We ordered the Chamignonschnitzel, which came very quickly and was delicious. Whilst we ate, we were serenaded by the cathedral choir, practising in a nearby room!

We chose this charming place for dinner and were very pleased. We ate outside in the pleasant garden area. They serve traditional Bavarian dishes and their soups and salads are quite good. They also have a good selection of draft beers including Bischofshof and Weltenburger Kloster. Service was friendly and efficient. It is also not far from St.Peter's Cathedral.

Fantastic and beautiful courtyard. Huge and crowded. Food looks fine. Very traditional. Nice atmosphere. But, huge minus. Asking for none smoking area the answer is. Ha, ha does not exist in Germany. They live in the Stone Age, not accepting people with asthma and allergies due to a small minority of smokers. Shame.

Visiting Regensberg and wanted a local place for dinner. This is a gem. It was great to be the only Americans...we got the real deal local flavor and it was worth it. Great service, superb food and reasonable, what more could you want. Try the Regensberg sausages. I thought they were better than the Nuremberg sausages. Had the veal cordon... More

We were looking for a beer and snack before heading back to our river cruise and wanted to be outside. Their beer garden was full of newly bloomed lilacs and smelled like early spring. We had a beautiful Tavern Plate with a nice variety of meats and cheeses as well as pretzels. We were there late afternoon and it was... More

My wife and I ate here after we had visited the Christmas markets because it was close to where we were meeting our tour group and we were tired from walking. This was highly recommended by our tour guide and she was right on. The food was good, beer was good, and the service was great. I had the Sausages... More

My last night in Regensburg so I'd booked this restaurant. It is one of the oldest hotel/ restaurants in Germany. The room was stunning with illustrated wood panels around the walls. I sat below the Joker! There were a number of elderly diners & just a few younger diners. To me there was absolutely no atmosphere in the room. My... More
