Good food, especially the Sauerbraten, served in a classic German dining room. I was there in Feb, so quite empty and good service, but this place, being right in downtown, must get mobbed in the high season in this pretty town. Prices reasonable but perhaps a little high for what it was.

My husband and I were in Regensburg during the Christmas season this year and had a wonderful lunch at Bischofshof Am Dom, just around the corner from the town hall square. The spaetzle and roast pork dishes we had were really excellent, as was the red cabbage. We stick with the local beers in Germany! and mine from welter burger... More

The title says it all about the food however, well situated and a nice place for a drink or people watching. Food arrived very quickly after the sound of the "ping"! Waiter friendly. Nice building. Dined at lunchtime, very busy restaurant so someone must like it. I won't be back.

I've enjoyed traditional German food and excellent beer at this historic restaurant near the Dom many times. As reviewers say it can become touristy, but one has to understand that since Regensburg was named a UNESCO site tourist traffic has increased tremendously to what had been a quiet city on the Danube. Last time here the service might have been... More

The outdoor area was extremely crowded on Saturday night, but a good band was playing Bavarian music. Lovely outdoor eating area, but food is pretty standard. Meh.

We went with Krones while my husband was buying a machine. I can honestly tell you the reviews about the service are true but it is because they are very busy and they take a lot of pride in their work. I had an amazing evening with about 12 people both locals and visitors and the food and beer kept... More

We were on a tour of Regensburg and passed by this restaurant on the tour It looked charming and in a quiet courtyard by the Dom. We sat at a table and had to wait longer than we should have for a menu and then had to wait even longer still for the waiter to return to take our order.... More

Restaurant is quite good, but no great gastronomy. Suitable for gluttons. It was a beautiful sunny day and garden restaurant was almost full. We had an appetizer and main course, but the portions are quite large. As an appetizer I had a great "tafelspitzsulz" with lettuce, but lettuce was poorly washed with sand :-( The trout was delicious, but greasy.... More
