This place is usually very busy, but the pizzas are great. 1/2 of a pizza is enough for most people (unless you are very hungry). The wait staff was very friendly, spoke good English, and even got ice for my dad who was needing an American fix.

And I do very much enjoy the local Bavarian cuisine but sometimes it is good to eat honest, well prepared and fairly priced Italian food in a great atmosphere with servers who smile. The L'Osteria ticks all of those boxes.

Visited with my boyfriend yesterday evening and was seriously disappointed. I got the gamberetti pizza which tasted bland and was very bare in ingredients. Our table was right next to another couple and everyone is just squashed in together to fit as many tables in as possible. Waiting staff were indifferent and unfriendly. We waited a long time to order... More

On a whim, we booked this restaurant tonight and glad we did as we don't think there would not have been a table free. The restaurant was totally packed, but as one table of patrons left, others came in! The staff were friendly and attentive and the pizzas were h-u-g-e. Two of us shared one pizza with different toppings. The... More

Think nearly everyone going here comments on the large size of the pizza. We do too. But size is not everything as the pizza's here are also thin and light with delicious toppings. In a party of five, we decided to order 5 different pizza's so we could share slices and sample a wide range of the menu. All were... More

We found L'Osteria after walking from the Regensburg train station, through the old town toward the TA recommended Meier Restaurant, over a bridge to an island on the Danube only to find Meier closed. This turned out to be good luck. Although we enjoyed all of the sausages and sauerkraut we had eaten all over Bavaria during this trip, the... More

My wife and I stopped in on a whim. (We saw a patron devouring an amazing looking pizza as we strolled by. We quickly abandoned our previous plans and took an outside table at L'Osteria). And we were not disappointed. The bianco pizza- served with onions, rosemary, and bacon-was outstanding. My wife had the "mango" salad and was delighted with... More

Right on Main Street of pedestrian area. Place is usually packed and busy. Service still very good and will seat you quick as possible and serve you promptly as well. Pizza were indeed very large, easily accommodating two. Good variety of options for pizzas. Pizza also very tasty and with thin crust.

A very busy Italian restaurant in the historic center that serves the largest thin crust pizza in the area. The place was packed and booming the two evenings we went.Great food and beer with friendly service gave us two enjoyable evenings.
