This restaurant is located in the former stables/carriage hall of the Thurin und Taxis Palace. One would never be able to tell that it was once a stable, for the hall has been renovated into a classy yet comfortable dinning area. The best item on the menu was the Schwammerlschnitzel vom schwein, which was a pan fired pork schnitzel (bread-less)... More

Very good food. Light and dark beers are delicious. Interesting atmosphere with the polished copper pots. Was once a stable, believe it or not.

I gave it only 4 start because I didn't sample the food. I had toured the Thurn &Taxis castle and then went here to sample the beer. They brew their own beer. I did try both the light and dark beers. Surprise to me, I liked the dark beer better. Very fun to sit at the long tables and visit.... More

The food here was wonderful. I had the pork knuckle and it was one of the best I have ever had and also it was one of the least expensive. The beer here was extremely good - being a Bauhaus they brew their own. It is not easy to find but with a map and an idea of where it... More

I have tried several traditional "bayerische" restaurant and this was one of the best. Their "Knuckle" was the best I've eaten so far. Dark beer is recommended. one negative point was our waitress, she must have been on her period

we came as a group of 12 and the service was just wonderful. I had the Steak and it was so tender that I did not need a knife the waiter was so fast and kind. I recommend this place to everyone ..... Now if I could just pronounce it!!!

Went there later in the evening with a large group (30+), service could not have been better. Food came out hot, which can be difficult with a large group. Very good traditional Bavarian style. Drink...it's Germany, it's all good! Very beautiful Hall to dine in.

This is a very good restaurant. The food is traditional Bavarian, and the schweinhax'n was some of the best! It is a large hall type restaurant, beautifully decorated, and both service and food are to be commended.

After my son and I arrived in Regensburg in August of 2011, we asked at the hotel where they would recommend we have dinner - and Furstliches Brauhaus was the answer. We had a delightful meal and enjoyed the "home brew" beer from the palace. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. We chose to eat outdoors in... More
