Having read the reviews we had to try this fabulous cafe,The stone bridge is undergoing restoration at the moment but you can still cross the many arms of the Danube using it .The wide main street of Stadtamhof stretches before leading to the locks on the canal and just before the arch there is the Kuchenbar ,inside it is small... Not very lady like, but these cakes are fantastic and honestly I normally prefer savoury snacks. The only place I have had better cakes is a tea rooms called Lanercost on Hadrian's wall in the UK. Regensburg is a fantastic City the Old Stone Bridge is fab. We are coming back for the Christmas Market.

This is a tiny cafe which just feels nice to be in. There is a large selection of very tasty cakes and excellent coffee and at this time of year there is the bonus of a really pleasant gluehwein.

While in Regensburg, you'll probably cross the Stone bridge, and if so you must try a cake at the Kuchenbar. The only problem with this place is the huge variety so it is very difficult to choose.
