The restaurant is undergorund, the bricks of the Wall are historical. It is a compact restaurant you feel ok. The foods are good. The service quality is good enough, higher than expected in Germany. Although the food I asked was not in the menu they prepared a vegetarian vegetable pasta with oliveoil. Thanks it was delicious. You can prefer upside... More

I got the name of this restaurant from Trip Advisor before we left on our Viling River Cruise and I am so glad I did. The food was fantastic. My husband and I always order different from each other so I got to taste what he had order also. This time we ate with friends so we all shared with... More

This place has been around since 1528 and can be hard to find, but once you do you'll discover a delightful place to eat. It offers a number of true Baverian meals and we sampled several of them. Lots of food; no complaints. Wait staff was very efficient. Prices reasonsible.

This was a really lovely restaurant. Unfortunately we had already eaten but it looked so lovely we went in for a drink. Food looked so good we had a desert. Main courses looked outstanding. Prices were quite high (Passau is a bit over priced due to the tour boats and rich Americans who stay overnight before and after their cruises)... More

Our guide suggested this restaurant to us for a lunch and suggested the garden. It was a beautiful day and the garden was lovely. The service was very fast and the young man was smiling and attentive. The food was delicious. The spatzel was wonderful and the pork very tender. The beer was very good. We all enjoyed our lunch... The Stiftschenke has a lovely interior and a pergola outside that is inviting on a sunny summer day. That is where we had our luncheon. The food ranges from very good to the average food one can expect in German restaurants of this type. Our favorite: a deftly seared Wienerschnitzel with fried potatoes. The Spanferkel (suckling pig) was fine, if... More

Nice place, with also nice atendants with spetacular bavarian food. Good variety (vegetables, meat, fish, soup) and beers from the local producer. If you are luck, there will be fresh marmelade so you can take away a good example of the good bavarian cuisine.

We went to the restaurant as an add on with the Hotel Residenz. At first, we didn't think too much of it as it is very unassuming from the outside. But having gone in, we found a wonderful, terraced garden which was even better in the summer warmth. The food was at a high standard, but was also very traditional... More

Based upon the TripAdvisor reviews (and our preliminary walk thru of the restaurant during the day), we had dinner. It was a disaster. Although we had a reservation, we were teated like silly tourists who would accept seating anywhere. We chose what are considered traditional Bavarian dishes - rostbraten and forelle. It was probably the worse food we had eaten... More
