Best Michelin-starred restaurant experience!

So far we have done a bit over 20 Michelin-starred restaurant and Essigbraetlein was the best of them all! it is small, just a few tables, very intimate atmosphere. Simply wonderful, each and every bite. The place is cozy, maybe 12 tables and ringing doorbell to get in has a nice touch. If I were to change one thing I'd order a nice Burgandy to compliment since the pairings are primarily regional whites. The entire experience was perfect, I do not understand what would incent someone to write a... More

A wonderfully inventive and delightful meal, that succeeded in being avant garde and at the same time extraordinarily delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, and the service friendly and unpretentious. The best Michelin 2-star meal I've ever had -- and judging solely by the cuisine, it was actually better than the meals we had at the 3-star Alain Ducasse... More

I found the restaurant by looking on trip adviser. Might be one of the best restaurant I ever tried. Only 4 courses in the meniu, ask for all 4, they are small and extremely good. Nice and intimate atmosphere . You can't be unpleased. Thanks to the management, very well trained staff.

There is a limit to experimental cooking - why should I be the guinea pig and even pay dearly? I am happy to admit that this time I proved all wrong. The evening started off with an ouverture, a series of small surprise servings, every one even more delicious the one before. This was followed by a 7-dish menu, every... More

we were three friends for lunch. char with ginger broth was extremely strong and completely over power the fish... The highlight - believe it or not was the Kohlrabi dish. Simple but definitely not simplicity. The dish was impressing interesting and delicious. The only dish BTW in the meal that was justifying to my humble opinion the 2 star standards.... More

We came to Essigbrätlein with high expectations and we were not disappointed. An excellent meal from the starter to the friandises. The selection of beans with pistachio and the pigeon were amazing. The homemade chocolate selection was another favorite of mine. The cook serves all dishes himself - a phenomenal place for gourmets!
