We came here on a Tuesday lunchtime as our intended venue was not open (will remember to check opening times in future). Despite giving the impression of being very busy it appeared as though the staff have a very organised way of allocating tables and there was in reality plenty of availability. Shared a table with a lone German man... More

This is a great traditional German restaurant near the fortress in the old city. It is very busy but what good restaurant isn't? The traditional German food here is excellent at a good price. The menu varies from night to night. You will have no trouble finding something good to order here. Definitely worth a visit.

We had dinner here with local friends. I had the Hirsch Venison which was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. The menu had some great selections but I definitely made a good choice. Our friends said Huett'n also does an excellent Cordon Blau and also Venison Stew. We had good service and good beer and schnapps. The locals all seemed like... More

Came here for lunch with a friend and it was really nice. The food was of a really good quality with generous portions and there were a good selection of beers to choose from. Menu is very traditional but one of the better executions in town in my opinion. Staff were very busy as we came during the Xmas market... More

Situated in the old town not far from Durer house. Despite the modern building outside the restaurant is decorated in typical Bavarian style. Given the large tables you may have to eat with other people and, other than language difficulties, it may be interesting. Good beer, good food: we tried different kinds of sausages and "Bratwürste", Schweinebraten and, we ordered... More

I've been to the Hutt'n 5 times with friends and we loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere each time so much so that we were quite reluctant to leave. A booking in advance is a must to ensure seats. The food and drink is better than most Bar- Restaurants. Gerhard is a genial host and most helpful. See you all... More

We always try to visit traditional restaurants with local cuisine. This restaurant is quite popular, is close to the house-museum of Durer. Works without a day break which is also convenient for tourists. Ordered wildpilzsuppe (EUR 3.8, very tasty, cream-soup with wild mushrooms), grilled Nurnberger and Frankischer bratwurst with sauerkraut and potatoes (EUR 6.9-7.9, tasty). In the restaurant there is... More

Originally from Wisconsin I thought I had a good feel from Bratwurst. We eat Louie's from Cumberland, Wisconsin all the time and Louie's has won Championships in Wisconsin, the USA and in Germany for his Brats and other meats. The brats we had here were as good as anything we have had at home. That's not a knock on either... More

An infrequent visit to Nuremberg, I know Huett'n from its previous location, and Suedhaus in the location to which Huettn'n has now moved. This is one of the classic Franconian restaurants in town, and it takes a brave heart to break with tradition. We had the soup to start - a light bouillon with a liver dumpling and strips of... Good meal here. The local guide recommended it and didn't fail. Sat outside, good food and good beer. Would eat here again for sure. Too bad about the smokers.....
