Very nice meal

We went there at the recommendation of the hotel and had medium expectations in that we were not sure we would be very impressed. The food at Aumer's was a very nice surprise - we very much enjoyed our dinner. Service was also very nice while the ambiance is relaxed. We had a very nice Franconian... read more

Maybe it was to easy to book a table 60 minutes before dinner in a Michelin star restaurant - the interior has no character, food is "overdesigned" - too many ingredients and flavours killing the taste of the duck liver or fish… Service was just ok.

To make a long story short: Andreas Aumer´s a very talented chef combining different textures and tastes in a very creative way. So: if you love good food you should definitely visit Aumers La Vie, but be prepared that you have to suffer from poor service. Example: when arriving at the restaurants door we were welcomed (after some waiting time)... More

Aumers La Vie is my favourite restaurant for more or less special occasions in Nürnberg. I've been there four times now, one of those with a larger group (ten people), and it was perfect every time. The kitchen is quite refined and distinctly non-German. Usually a few small (extra) appetizers are served that I'm already looking forward to hours in... More

Its a small but nice restaurant. The food was very good and the presentation was excellent. We had a 5course surprise meal and since I'm not a fan of red meat, it was changed to Seafood. The meall and the wine bill came approx to Eur 168,- slightly pricely but its worth it for occassions.

My wife and I had dinner last saturday for our wedding anniversary. And God we enjoyed it! My wife went for the 4-course meal (65euros), and I went for the 6-course (78). The portions look fairly small, but we were still very full at the end of the night. We also had 2 "free" really fine appetizer, and an extra... More

the food here is superlative, probably our best meal ever, and the service was very helpful. This is a must- see if you are visiting Nuremberg.
