My wife and I loved this place so much that during our stay in Nurnberg we ate either dinner or lunch there many times. The food is traditional German and very reasonably priced. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. Great place to sit down, have a serve of German food washed down with a few beers and... More

Great food, especially if you have a hungry teenager. A good selection of typical Franken cuisine, nice service and decently priced menu

My wife and I enjoyed an evening meal here. Traditional food was well cooked and delicious, the staff was very welcoming creating a friendly environment, very much a place to linger over another beer.

As we stayed at the Le Merdien, this restaurant was right across the street at the entrance to the old town and recommended to us as an alternative to the very expensive meals at the hotel. We were very happy with the quality and service here, both for breakfast and dinner. If in doubt as to what to try, take... More

Our hotel sent us here for local specialties. It is a darkish, tavern atmosphere, more locals than tourists, good food, very generous portions. We had the pork shoulder, and the Frankish sauerbraten-same recipe that I make, but they use more of all the spices than I do. I also love their big German green-and-vegetable salads.

Pillhofer is a typical Bavarian restaurant that is located next door to the Hotel Victoria. We dined there on the recommendation of the reception staff after we checked in to the Hotel Victoria. Our request was for something close, not something elegant. The atmosphere is quaint - lots of dark wood as you would expect in a small Bavarian hofbrau.... More

Pork shoulder anyone? Great place to experience German food. I love the pork shoulder but there are many traditional fraconian dished to choose from. A place you should try if you in Nurnberg.

Good pub-like food with a German twist. We had the turkey schnitzel with potato salad (5/5) and the roast pork (3/5). Service was quick and atmosphere consistent with a pub, nice and warm on a cold night outside. Total cost for three was around EUR50. Very well located too on the main Street in Nuremberg's old town.
