Very warm with wood and antlers adorning the walls. The meat and game for which this restaurant is known was really great. Upscale but not stuffy. One thing to note is that Foder's Guidebook say to wear a jacket and tie but we were the only ones (of 20 tables or so) that did and a few were in jeans.... More

Amazing food and very attentive staff. My husband had veal and I had the mixed seafood plate. Both were excellent.

This was a special dining experience. I took my husband to Halali for his birthday and used their efficient on-line booking system. The food is upmarket Bavarian, with a twist. The service was seamless and the waiters friendly & professional. The food is expensive so I would recommend going there on special occasions rather than often, but it was a... More

I was checking on tripAdvisor for some good but cheap restaurants in Munich and Halali came up as one € sign. Once we got there and we were handed the menu we realised it shouldn't have been one € sign! We decided to go for a dinner menu which is 4 course meal (tiny courses) for €68 each. With a... More

We found this restaurant on accident wondering around the first evening of our trip to Germany. After a ten day trip it was the best meal we had the entire time. Food and service was excellent!!

We had steak for dinner and pancakes for dessert. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant! The atmosphere was very very nice and we enjoyed ourselves! The only thing is that this place is definitely NOT cheap (NOT a single euro sign as indicated here), but the food and the experience was worth the price!

A colleague from Munich and I arrived late from Dusseldorf and hungry for some authentic German food. He checked with some friends and they recommended Halali- well off the beaten path and with an exterior storefront that was minimally identifiable. Yet once inside, you feel as if you've just walked into a turn-of-the-century hunter's lodge for the wealthy. The walls... More

You are looking for Bavarian cuisine and it has to be more than just the average beer garden or equivalent of the Hofbräuhaus? Here is something more on the exclusive side which will make your mouth water when you start reading the menu. I've been to this place twice and always start the culinary feast with "Gebratene Blutwürstchen" It's fried... More

I have eaten here twice and both experiences were superb. It is always packed, so a reservation is needed. The food at Halai is as good as it gets- better than most Michelin starred restaurants that I've tried. They offer a 4 course menu which is reasonably priced for the quality. On my most recent visit I had pumpkin soup,... More
