Cheap beer and winersnitzel

A traditional german beergarden with average german food and 1L beers (approx. 8-9 Euro). The resturant has a large outdoor area, located in the university area of town. So expect a lot of young people. Its a good place, however, nothing special.

This is one of my favorite biergarten in Munich not because the food is exceptionally good but because the back court is amazing and the beer quite cheap. You can enjoy traditional Bavarian (fast) food at a nice table in the shadow of the horse chestnuts to enjoy a peaceful moment in this rather crowded neighborhood. If it gets chilly... More

When the weather is nice the beer garden is a good place for an after work drink and snack. I went there with a group of co-workers and enjoyed the beer garden atmosphere and food. The menu is typical beer garden fare.

Despite the name "Max Emanuel Brauerei" this former brewery does not brew their own beer any more and was sold to one of Munich's big breweries. It is a very nice restaurant with a surprisingly large beergarden (shaded by very old trees) in the middle of the Schwabing/University district. The restaurant has a separate room where life music is played... More

You wouldn't find this place unless a local brought you. It's hidden in a side street between a number of apartment buildings. The atmosphere is like a typical beer garden. Large Weisse Bier and pretzels fill the tables, but surprisingly some other dishes too (fish, gyros etc.). Nice place to visit but not a must see.

I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat, but these must surely be the cheapest beers in town. They serve Lowenbrau at 2.20 per half litre during happy hour. This is almost a 3rd the cost it's sold for at Lowenbrau Keller up the road. We did go on a Sunday but it was quite quiet. The only... More

The beer is great, very helpful staff, but the kitchen could do better. Our party had pre-booked so they knew how many people to cater for and yet we ran out of food! It did look good, just a shame I didn't get to try it!
