Good beer! Would love to visit in the summer!

We ate here wnikst staying at Munich, we stayed at the Novotel Cit Centre, it was a 15 minute walk. As with most beer halls the building was beautiful with a grand entrance. The food was nice, but no different from other beer halls, thee was a kids menu too, which was reasonable, only €4.99 for a... read more

Had the roast pork and it was very good. The Spaetzle was the best we had on the trip to Munich. Now the negative: there has been a concerted effort to clean up these Brau Pubs including the bathrooms. Of all 12 Brau Pubs we visited this was the least clean in the bathrooms and the place smelled like years... More

A known place for good beer. You can spot quiet a few locals here and they are all so sweet. Some of them also suggested what food to order. When you are here be ready for some good conversations and ofcourse good beer.

This place was a quieter (though not my much) and cheaper place to eat compared to Hofbrauhaus. We had the seasonal beer and a colaweissen, both were great. Food was delicious! For lunch our daughter had the Harry Potter (chicken nuggets) meal, and my husband and I both had weiner schnitzel. When we came back for dinner, I had to... More

Not at all touristy, this was our favorite spot to have a beer in Munich. Frequented by locals, the Hofbraukeller had all the same food and drinks at the Hofbrauhaus, but had even better beer in that they had a Winter beer that the larger establishment didn't have! Easy to find, great service, excellent food - I only wish we... More

We had dinner after a full day of site seeing in Munich at the Hofbraukeller and were not disappointed. No crazy crowds and loud music like the 'big' haus. The food was great and the service good. Since we were there in November, the restaurant was decorated for the start of the Christmas season. A good value and good atmosphere

Recommended to us as the place the locals go to eat. About 15-20 minutes walk from town hall and worth it! They brew their own beer and it's great. Excellent service and atmosphere. Wooden decorated ceilings. Recommend the "classics" or the crispy roast pork leg followed by the Kaiserschmarn. Reasonable prices and not a tourist trap.

This is a famous but not too-touristy historic Bavarian restaurant near Rosenheimer Platz. As "Carras1982" says, the portions are huge and the style of cooking is hearty. This is probably not the best choice for vegetarians, people on a restricted diet or those are trying to be gluten-free. Important note: the street sign advertising the restaurant is actually small and... More

Went there for an informal business dinner. It is a typical place, but not crowded with tourists. Therefore, a good choice with solid quality.

Beer garden outside in the finer weather and a large brew house inside with a number of dining areas. We had a light lunch insisde, the waiter was not as surly as they can be, it is almost expected. Nice atmosphere with some antiiques here and there. The food was adequate.
