A unique experience

Had lunch with my classmates here since everyone were saying this is a must-do while in Munich at the hofbrau. I ordered crispy farmer's duck and it turned to be delicious. We were a group of 20 people on a tour and visited october 2014. All of us only had praises for this restaurant. For me... read more

Although I had been curious about this imposing and historic beer hall before, I had never had a reason to visit it until we needed an early dinner before our concert at the nearby Munich Philharmonic. Located across the river in the original brewery building that also services the famous Hofbrauhaus, this place makes a big impression. It has several... More

We stopped in here for a beer just to see more of the city away from the main tourists areas. I can't say that it was much different than the beer halls around Marienplatz. It's good beer and good times but I wouldn't go out of my way again to visit.

My gf had her best beer ever in this place, not so far away from the center. The inside is typical german with old style chairs and tables. Waiters are nice and helpful, everyone does speak english well. Must visit!!

Went here with the kids who just loved the supervised play area. Not only is it supervised but the kids can be seen through a big window- ensuring you enjoy the beer while they enjoy the ball pool! The baby change is in the soft play area too- no long walks, over different floors. Menu is typical for this type... More

I went to this traditional restaurant with my family and it is a great experience. The food is a great typical Bavarian menu and the beer is 5stars. I mention specifically the kids area that is a blessing when you have young kids... Go if you want a great traditional Bavarian restaurant with a special kids area!

After you have done the Hoffbrau House, try an alternative local more real version. Not in the centre of town, but very close to the Holiday Inn which was good for us. This is a much smaller place than other bier kellers but still much bigger than most UK pubs. We went for Sunday lunch and the place was full... More

If you want the bierkeller experience try this venue. It is out of the main city centre area hence does not get as busy a lot of the time. It is located across the river and is easy to reach via tram 19 or underground trains U4 and U5 to Max Weber Platz. A short walk along Innere Wiener Street... More
