We came here our first night in Munich since it was near our rented apartment - it was so good! We found the service friendly, the beer delicious! It was so good, that we came back our last night as well (after a disappointing meal the night before at Augustiner) - very authentic and delicious! The beer garden looked fun... More

Had planned to meet with friends in the Biergarten for Birthday celebrations, but due to rain decided to spend the afternoon/evening inside. Decor, atmosphere and menu; traditionally Bavarian. Friendly, but service was slow. Good alternative to the Keller's downtown.

As they say when in Rome... Well when in Munich this is a must! The food was great and the bier even better! Great traditional Bavarian atmosphere!

The amazing shade of the trees make any summer day a celebration day here. If you are new to biergartens, you need to know that you can bring your picnic but you must purchase drinks here. In any case, a nice simple menu has a bit of everything for all. In the evening you can only buy beer by the... More

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. There wasn't a whole lot going on when I went, but the Biergarten is absolutely massive. I could imagine it being an awesome place when it's not a cloudy weekday afternoon. The service was beyond friendly and attentive. I ordered a meal with Schweinehaxen, Schweinebraten and duck with two kinds of dumplings and... More

We had a late dinner on our last night due to jetlag. Staff was very courteous and I'm no expert on Bavarian food, all I know is my roast pig leg schweinshaxe was totally yummy and my husband's grilled sausages on a bed of sauerkraut was delicious as well. Some of the best sauerkraut I've ever had. They have a... More

I have been to Hofbraukeller a number of time, for business and also as a tourist. The main upstairs area set for an event is something to be seen, only in Bavaria, they defiantly know how to throw a party and the food is fantastic, best suckling pig I have ever had. My fav has to be in the massive... More

We had lunch here before going to the Bayern Munich game one Saturday. Having already tried the schnitzel and sausages at another beer garden, I went with the trout. It was very good! The weather was fabulous, so sitting outside was a special treat. Service was very efficient and friendly.
