Beer garden in Hofbraukeller always is my family's favourite place, especially on the weekends. Always crowded, busy and funny. Nice atmosphere, Excellent beer, good service. Recommended!
This was the first time we'd been inside the Hofbraukeller, as all the previous times we'd enjoyed their Biergarten (which is great!). The place was buzzing, and this was a Sunday afternoon! The atmosphere was nice, and service was quite good considering how busy the place was. Bier was good, of course, and the food was tasty & plentiful. All-in-all... More
big restaurant in a very nice area well connected with the historical city center. tipical bavarian food, good quality and definitly much better than the more popular hofbrauhaus. I strongly recommend the kaiserschmarrn - the best I've ever tried.
Three of us were visiting on business. We made it a point to have dinner here one night and were very happy we did. We had a table that we kept company for 2.5 hours while we visited, observed, ate - and had quite a few beers. The prices were very good and the atmosphere was great. We'd stopped in... More
Across the river and a 10-15 minute walk out of the main part of the old town. Worth the trip across the Maximiliansbrucke for the nice view of the majestic Maximilianeum. Service was friendly, and atmosphere great. Worth searching for.

The Hofbraukeller was exactly that. The weinerschnitzel was just what the doctor ordered and some of the best that I tried during my brief stay in Munich.... More
The biergarten at Hofbraukeller is centrally located right by Ubahn Max Weber Platz stop making it convenient for most. The place is not huge but has plenty of room for the weekend after a long bike ride or to introduce visitors to biergartening. Their Obazda and pretzels are great as is the rotisserie chicken. Everyone I've taken here has been... More
We visited here a couple of times during Oktoberfest. The beer is excellent and we found it much less crowded than the other beer kellers due to its location slightly out of the centre. Food was fine
I was in Munich for ten days and visited the Hofbraukeller twice. We have a friend who lives in Munich and he took us here for some late night snacks in the beirgarten the first time and then in the restaurant for lunch the second time. This is more of a local spot than a tourist trap. It's casual and... More
