Try this....calfsliver with apples, mashed potatoes and a delicious gravy!

I decided to try the calfsliver because i ate it in berlin and there it was made "berliner art". So when i ordered hofbraükellers calfsliver i said to him..."you have here on the menu.... calfsliver berliner art" with apples, mashed potatoes and ROSTZWIEBEL (fried onions out of the plastic box... read more

Off of the tourist map but very easy to reach, the Hofbraukeller was the best surprise we had in Munich. My wife and I really wanted an authentic Bavarian meal in our last day in Munich, but without having to share a table with strangers. We found the Hofbraukeller, and were pleasantly surprised to find private tables in a great... More

Was hoping for much better than this. Despite the place being fairly empty, and our objection, they insisted on seating us at a draughty table by the door (to make the place look busier than they actually were?). My colleague was brought the wrong dish, so he pointed this out and asked for the one he had ordered. out of... More

The Hofbraeukeller is a nice authentic Bavarian beerhouse and restaurant. They have plenty of indoor seating, as well as a beer garden outside. Good food selection and great beers. Loving it!

I have visited this authentic Bavarian restaurant several times over the last few years. I have had several fantastic meals and one which was ok. What I will say is the place is worth a visit as its a fantastic building and setting, the service is also very good. Hopefully when you visit you will have a fantastic meal as... More

It is worth to visit this beerhouse. It is situated a bit outside the mass tourist area in a very nice part of Munich. The food comes in large portions and it is tasty and of good quality. And do not forget to taste the housebrand beers.

Had lunch with my classmates here since everyone were saying this is a must-do while in Munich at the hofbrau. I ordered crispy farmer's duck and it turned to be delicious. We were a group of 20 people on a tour and visited october 2014. All of us only had praises for this restaurant. For me , who was in... More

Although I had been curious about this imposing and historic beer hall before, I had never had a reason to visit it until we needed an early dinner before our concert at the nearby Munich Philharmonic. Located across the river in the original brewery building that also services the famous Hofbrauhaus, this place makes a big impression. It has several... More

We stopped in here for a beer just to see more of the city away from the main tourists areas. I can't say that it was much different than the beer halls around Marienplatz. It's good beer and good times but I wouldn't go out of my way again to visit.

My gf had her best beer ever in this place, not so far away from the center. The inside is typical german with old style chairs and tables. Waiters are nice and helpful, everyone does speak english well. Must visit!!
