After taking in a performance at the Munich Opera we had a 9 PM reservation at this beautiful restaurant. The greenery on the exterior grows up the side of the building and it feels like you are entering the Bavarian cellar of family or friends. The service was in classic Bavarian attire and was prompt but in no way pushy.... More

We celebrated Herr Kramer's big birthday here last week because we have always been curious about this ivy-clad, old-school charmer located in the back of the Platzl Hotel. It did not disappoint. We had to call in advance and speak in German to ensure a good seat for the birthday celebration and they rewarded us with one of the more... More

We were two couples and went for an evening meal at Pfistermuhle. The menu was good but more meat than fish dishes. When I eventually chose a popular fish dish the waier said the fish hadn't arrived that day. It was saturday after new Year and there had been snow but this seemed a poor excuse. we then ordered starters... More

The restaurant is attached to the Platzl hotel so we used it for convenience on one of our nights there. The atmosphere and ambience is superb and the food was exceptional. It is a 'gastronomie' and the prices reflect the quality and the central location of the restaurant (i.e. quite expensive). As a 'treat' on one night of your Munich... More

This is a very good restaurant, with excellent and very friendly service. The locally-inspired food was delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant - a good place for couples. Do not go there if you want a good value meal, but if you want nice food and a relaxing evening then I highly recommend it.

this is a really lovely restaurant within 10 minutes of Marianplatz. It's busy so you need to book. Food is german style and style is traditional but fine dining, which is tasty and really very well presented. Not big portions but enough for us. 2 courses and a bottle of wine cost us €150 for 2. Amusing point of the... More

The food was really excellent. But considering the price range, it is unacceptable that you do not get a warning from the waitress that the kithen is about to close and you are not asked whether you wish to order a dessert... Also, the were no more paper towels in the men's room, so I had to dry my hands... More

The Restaurant Pfistermuehle offers great Bavarian food at reasonable prices and the service staff is excellent. Book a table well in advance to avoid a disappointment.
