Enjoy the historic atmosphere of medieval Munich in one of the most beautiful locations in the historic city centre. In the lovingly restored vaults of the dukes mill dating back to 1573 we are offering upscale Bavarian cuisine and fine Franconian wines alongside famed and freshly brewed Ayinger draft beer from the families brewery.

In the Pfistermuhle there are four vaults with more altogether 95 seats. Thirty additional seats are available in the beer garden in Summer.

Excellent German fine dining

We visited this place as my second visit and bring my wife along this time. The service was excellent. We went for beer so the waiter proposed different beers in small sizes to match our food. Great suggestions. The cheek we had was not as tender as I would have in Jason Atherton's Little Social in... read more

in the basement of Platzl hotel, this restaurant features costumed waitresses and serves food that appeared international to me, with bavarian touch.

We were recommended to this restaurant by our hotel and we were not disappointed. We had very friendly service and the food was beautifully cooked. For mains, I had rack of lamb and my wife beef stroganof which she said was the best she had ever had. Very nice restaurant and perfect venue on what became a snowy night in... More

A restaurant with a good ranking where you expect good bavarian food but.... It was far away off expectations. 2 Fried prawns for € 17, - with a cucumber spagetti...tasted like a friedpan and priced over the top. Lambracks which are too rare to bite on and do not taste the fried beefcheecks. To tough to bite on. Sorry but... More

This restaurant is in the same building with the Platzl Hotel. Only later I saw that I could access it without leaving the hotel, Anyway, it is just around the corner. I had an excellent meal there and couldn't get in again because it was full.Make reservations.

Great quality and extremely good service are offered in this traditional restaurant. Very warm service (a rarity in Munich central area, where a degree of aggressiveness is always present in waiters). Extremely high quality of dishes, with great care for details. Absolutely excellent. Reservation is highly recommended as they have few seats and a lot of requests.

This is my second visit and I was not disappointed. Gourmet regional food served in a very quaint and comfortable atmosphere. Good wine list, but great Ayinger beer. Very creative menu served in a formal setting. Top quality.

We went there prior to a theatre visit. Early evening. The poace wasnnot too full at 6pm but by 7pm it had filled up and there was a great buzz. I had a menu. €59. The roast goose breast with mashed potato/vegetable was superb. My wife had a fine grilled steak. Everything about our food was perfect. The staff were... More

To be back at the Restaurant after one year was like coming home to mom! The warm welcome, the beautiful setup for the Christmas weeks, the excellent server with his Bavarian humor and the again outstanding dinner - it was a real treat on a very cold december evening.
