Just off the main Viktualienmarkt you'll find it a bit quieter and easier to get a table. We sat outside at Bratwurstherzl with a mixture of German tourists and locals. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Had the 10 Bratwurst grilled over charcoal with potato salad and my partner had the Spätzle noodles and salad. Washed down with a local Wheat... More

Rarely in travels do food memories linger for decades, since I last visited Munich---one of my favorite cities. I still remember the pork slabs, big dumplings, sausage, roast beef, beer, Bavarian ambience and congeniality of communal tables. Real Bavarian food is different from any found in the United States---tenderer, juicier, not as heavy.... Perhaps dietary habits have changed, but I... More

Found this place on TripAdvisor and didn't expect it to be so good! We were there around 7pm and it was busy but not full, we were told we could sit where we liked, even at a large table with a good view of the soccer game on TV (husband was happy). The lovely waiter from Bulgaria conversed with us... More

We have been to this local several times. 1 of all, because is not so much torustich as the other and 2 because the food is really tasty and fresch. The price are good and the service is excellent! Every time i go to Munchen i'll back to eat and drink here!

My husband and I ate here on a recent trip to munich and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is a cosy resturant very near to marienplatz. Their speciality are small wood fired sausages which you can order in multiples of 6, 8, 10 and 12 with a side of potato salad. There are pretzels in a bread basket which you... More

Make reservations as it's packed during dinners. They make beech wood fired sausages and grilled pork to do die for. Ask for Inge to be your server for the night. She's a sweetheart. :)

Called in here over the weekend with my son. We were initially looking for Zwickl, but it was bookings only. Bratwurstherzl was near it so we called in. The place was busy and served traditional Bavarian food. Friendly and SUPERB service, well priced and tasty food that did not take an age to arrive. Great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

If you’re hungry for something different, you might be interested in Nürnbergerwürstchen (Nuremberg small sausages), a nicely seasoned sausage about the size of a finger. The best place to find such in Munich is at the Bratwurstherzl, an interesting restaurant off of the Viktualienmarkt on Dreifaltigheitsplatz (Trinity Square). You can find a map here: http://www.bratwurstherzl.de/stadtplan.htm or you can walk from... More

Our first stop for simple Bavarian pub food. We had a platter of very tasty sausages, the beer was excellent and it had a nice atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and was probably the best lunch. Simple but effective!

We stopped here for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon - the place was packed!! The menu is not extensive but has good traditional Bavarian food. The beer was on tap (from a wooden barrel - very special) & was delicious & cold! I had the Schweinebraten, it's basically roast pork, with fried potatoes & a cabbage salad.... More
