This is a great bar that serves hearty food at great value prices. It has a nice atmosphere and is pleasant to visit just for a drink, as many locals seem to do - the Friday evening card school was under way when I was last in. Cordon Bleu the food is not, but it is hearty and traditional and... More

We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a non touristy, friendly, authentic local experience. We were the only tourists here, which we love. The place was packed with Germans from this residential neighborhood on a Tuesday night and everybody seemed to know each other and be having great fun. The food was very good although not haute cuisine.... More

I have not eaten here, but I arrived at the door on Monday evening and it was closed. Apparently, Monday is the day off - thought you all should know. Also, the address is correct, but the location on the map is wrong. Beware you don't get lost like I did! A nice taxi driver pointed me in the right... More

Although the hostess is a lovely lady and was very attentive as she went through the menu with us as we don't understand German or Austrian, we found the food is far from the standard described in another reviews in here. We had a salad and two different schnitzels and although ok, nothing of restaurant standards. Overall we were disappointed.... More

My wife and I decided on this place. It is a bit further out from central Munich but it was worth it. You get good value, a menu that's cooked from scratch. We had the vegetable soup (sorry I do not remember the German name) an entree of potato dumpling, pork loin and a nice gravy. Very hearty! Beverages we... More

I read a review on this resturant that described it like going to your favorite aunt's place. How right he was.We took a cab to get there and when we got there we were greeted by Monique(hope I got the name right). What a wonderful lady. The menu is in german but she seemed to take great pleasure in explaining it to... When we first arrived, we met the proprietor and she showed us to a table in the crowded restaurant. We were a bit nervous at first, as we were sharing the table with a couple, but they did not mind and very quickly the owner/waitress began explaining the dishes, very happy to be practicing her English. She was an extremely... More

I am an American living in Munich the last 10 years. I eat regularly at the Ennstaler Stubn and can only suggest you eat here when in town. The prices are great and the food is prepared with such love (Liebe), you will swear you are at your favorite aunt's place. The decor is cluttered and wonderfully tacky. It simply... More
