We had a great diner here - the staff speak good English and helped us work out what we wanted. We shared a salad and then had the such and venison. The duck was fantastic - a half duck with various accompaniments. The venison came with spatzle. the food was delicious. We also tried couple of different wines - a... More

If you're looking for a traditional beer hall at the heart of town then this is it. Seemingly unchanged for years (or tastefully restored post war) this a dark beer hall with lots of small tables. It had the permanently busy ambience of a place where the locals go regularly, but welcomes strangers and tourists. Finding a table easily (being... More

We were a group of five visiting on a Monday evening in late May. I doubt much has changed regarding the decor since it opened. It's very atmospheric with dark wood dominating the dinning room. If in season, I recommend their asparagus dishes. I tried the black pudding, Bavarian ham starter as well. I enjoyed the combinations of strong flavors.... More

The food here was a typical German selection but well cooked & tasty....not exceptional. I have eaten better in downtown Munich. The service was poor though....we had to continually remind the waiter we had ordered water, or wine, bread etc & one person's meal came out much later than everyone else's. The waiter didn't seem to really care & never... More

Great wine list, with wonderful German and other wines. Appetizers - mushrooms in pastry with a heavenly sauce was crazy good, The potato soup was the best I have ever had. My Bavarian duck entree was large and very good, as were all of the other entrees. Sorbets and Creme brulee desserts great. A taste of German brandies afterwards. Wow,... More

Located close to Munich city heart Weinhaus Neuner provides excellent choice of traditonal food with strong alpine influence and comprehensive wine list where you may find carefully selected german reds and many other. Good service, helpful in wine selection as well as getting through the menu. Tasted beef carpaccio and duck confit with Heger Sonnet Pinot Noir and really enjoyed... More

Food was very good - well prepared and large protions. No first course required. The Weinehouse evidently is specialised in German wines, so anyone considering anything else but German ones will have a very limited selection. We found this was the only real set back that would be hard to change. Service was prompt and frtiendly. But - as "our"... More

I ate here last Saturday and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. From the amuse bouche to the coffee, the food was delicious and well exceuted. The service was very good, with the staff going out of their way to organise a taxi after dinner and also recommended a nice bar. The atmosphere is wonderful and quite romantic. The prices were...
