This is our second visit in 18 months and it continues to excel. Staff are so efficient, friendly and know their stuff. The food (we had the tasting menu) was excellent and really well paced. Nothing was too much trouble. Of course you pay for a 2* Michelin (we paid about 450 euros with wine) so Value is a tough... More

The store is amazing and certainly worth a visit. Top quality products, some quite exclusive, presented like art. But... we sat down and ordered 12 (very good) oysters, a bottle of water and a bottle of good white wine which set us back over 120 euro. Expensive, but hey, we are in an exclusive shop so we should not moan... More

You can't say you've seen Munich if you havent seen Dallmayr. The company has been in business at the same location for more than 300 years, so you might suspect there's something special going on there. And there is ! To call Dallmayr a gormet delicatessen food store, does not describe the symphony of luxury foods that surround you there.... More

Dallmayr is the Munich equivalent of Fauchon or Hediard in Paris, the KaDeWe food floor in Berlin, Harrods food hall in London, or Dean & DeLuca in NYC - the epicure's epicenter, albeit with prices to match. Go, drool, and buy something to take back with you.

I suspect if you have not been to Dallmayr then you haven't seen the 'real' Munich, or at least the way of life for some lucky Munich people. The ground floor is an Aladdin 's Cave of a food hall where you can buy all sorts of specialities. On the first floor there is a gift section, and a charmingly... More

This place has a cool feel for a gourmet shop. You can buy almost anything delicious in the downstairs with an extensive fresh food selection for take away lunch or dinner. The smell of coffee and chocolate is amazing, you could easily spend hours here just browsing at the goods. We had a light lunch in the restaurant on the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Dallmayr cafe. I had a Wildgoulasch dish and my wife had duck breast, and both were excellent. The service was good and it was a pleasant atmosphere. A bit overpriced which is the reason it gets 4 stars, but a good stop for quality food.

Went in for the Dallmayr experience - place was packed with shoppers and people crammed in drinking coffee. So not worth waiting. Found a beaut little cafe in a Passage instead.

Just had coffee and an apple juice. The bill was 7 euros 80 (as expensive as Harold's, ridicilous). I tried to get rid of a 50 euro note, the waitor refused and pointed to my 20 euro note and even said 20. He then gave me 2 euros change. I argued saying I gave him 20 euros. He then gave... More
