My wife and I went to the Dallmayr in September and we both were rather taken aback by the experience. As others have said, it is rather expensive but you are treated like royalty. The food was very good but I would have to say that the service is what this epic fine dining experience is all about. Multiple people... More

The restaurant upstairs is lovely; but the meal was expensive (150usd per person) wasn't what I call memorable. Try the bistro on the main floor. Beautiful food market and check out the store next door that sells all kinds of fun stuff that you probably don't need

We only had coffee here, so cannot comment on food. But the place itself was a feast for the eyes. Lovely views across the square opposite, very helpful waitress. The stock in the shop was very tempting. Lift up to first floor (nicer to sit up here, rather than perching on the stools on the ground floor).

The location is splendid and the staff are very helpful and kind. We had a small bite (a charlotte and a hot beverage) but it was really good! And one can buy some of the best food in city. Recommended!

Even if for a coffee breack only, to visit this place is a must. Dallmayer is a temple of good food and drinks. There are so many great products on display and sale there... In the cafeteria the food is very good and the service is impeccable. There are various menu to choose among but even only a coffee and... More

Some of the best chocolate I've ever tasted. I visited their online shop when I got back to order some more, but delivery was 18 Euros, so if you're a chocoholic then buy plenty while you are there. Munich's answer to Fortnum & Mason. We finished off our trip with a meal which was terrific. They don't seem to advertise... More

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we certainly did enjoy window shopping throughout the market which showcases the best of the best cheeses, meats, chocolates, beverages, produce, pastries and breads. Being at Dallmayr's is like visiting a food museum. From wursts to wein, the displays are beautiful and mouth- watering. Expensive? Yes, but browsing is free of charge.

Well worth a visit, but don't forget your wallet! Quality is absolutely very, very high. Selections and variety are superb. A great place to walk about, enjoy the smells and visual enticements. It's not the kind of place I'd recommend for a large shopping unless you are well healed. My recommendation is buy a little bread and some spreads, a... More

The downstairs is quite the food emporium! Many take home items and gifts too. Candy, wine, coffee, deli and more. Upstairs is the restaurant. We had a delightful lunch and the coffees and desserts are not to be missed. I highly recommend a stop or two!

Stop buy here to browse even if you don't buy anything. The food displays don't look real. We could not seem to make it to the V-market or find a grocery store so stopped here close to closing which is 7:00 pm for some supplies. Getting lunch meat was hard because I was not prepared for the metric system ordering... More
