The lovely food, service and hospitality with the restaurant style of furnishing and decorations when all combined in one place this should be the BEST.

if you love see food, especially oysters, this little restaurant hidden in one of the side streets to Hildegard strasse, is the perfect place to go. Rustical, ot modern. Please reserve in advance.

The best dinner in Munich! We were blown away our dinner in this restaurant. Recommended by our concierge, we had modest expectations for a French-style fish place in Munich. But the stunning food and very helpful, cheerful personalized service were reminders that well-executed French cooking and knowledgable service never go out of style. Starting with properly-served cocktails and freshly cooked... More

The concierge at our hotel recommended the restaurant when we mentioned we were interested in seafood. If you are from the US and have eaten seafood at any of the popular chain restaurants (Bonefish, Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris) then there is no need to try Austernkeller, as you will be disappointed with what you get for your money. We did... More

They have not heard of the work changing. The Fish was bland, the Oytsters (can't do much wrong with them) good. Service very good but for the money, would not go back. Overrated but if you like that sort of thing OK

old style classic restaurant with all the amenities of Michelin 3 star would expect. Seafood to raw oysters, steaks and shrimp well done and served.

Birthday dinner with my wife and a great friend in Munich, this is one of the better meals that we've ever had. Incredible wine list, stellar seafood, amazing service. Bring a credit card with plenty of room, but prepare to be amazed.

First time in Munich as it was for me? A Munich resident recommended this to me. Some would say this is gaudy and dungeon like (if what they want is sterile contemporary US confines, it is) I would say opulent and period relevant, not faux. If you visited "Residenz Schatzkammer" (recommended & near), go here for dinner & continue the... More

This is a memory restaurant. Families, businessmen, couples all find this place special. The decor is old german but so well done. The specialty of the house is seafood and they know how to prepare it well. The cold shellfish appetizer easily fed two with oysters, clams, cockles, shrimp, mussels. The dover sole and the special salmon were very good.... More

Had a midweek dinner at this restaurant with my wife and niece. Large dining room with a gaudy appearance. The lady who served us spoke excellent English and was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Baked oysters were poor quality and overcooked, scallops were good, foie gras was miniscule, sea bream reasonable and served with boiled vegetables of good quality. Dessert of... More
