Best duck in Munich

If you're looking for an Asian or even specifically a Vietnamese restaurant in Munich this is the place to go. The menu is great and certainly priced fairly for the quality you receive. I usually order the duck. It's crispy on the outside and soft in the core. The ambiance is authentic, the staff... read more

In a stylish restaurant, very nice decorated, is one of the best vietnamese restaurants I ever had a meal, inclusive in Vietnam. Busy restaurant and therefore tables are maybe a bit close together dinner is served. The food is very fine with all the possibilities like chicken, fish, duck. Done in curries, wok or grilled at your table. Try to... More

The friendly atmosphere was apparent as soon as I walked in and was greeted by the staff. I enjoyed the Thai red chicken curry with rice. It was spicy yet not too hot. The flavours were very good and the portion sufficient. The creme brulee desert was a little disappointing as it promised a very different taste and the additional... More

Whilst on a trip to the Munich Christmas Markets we tried this restaurant on the recommendation of the staff from our hotel (Marc Munchen - see separate review). This was my first experience of a Vietnamese restaurant and the food was fabulous. We ordered a starter for two and there was an enormous amount of very tasty food. I then... More

i've to say: i love vietnamese food, i've been to vietnam and to many vietnamese restaurants in europe. this one is completely overrated. the atmosphere might be fancy, but actually that place doesn't even have windows. prices are high, higher than in other vietnamese restaurants in munich. however, service is bad, portions are small and taste is average. we had... Ok - I've never been in Asia so don't expect an 100% expert asian gourmet expert. But this place is absolutely worth, when I travel to Munich for work I go there almost everyday. Most of the place have a really verdant bouquet of spices and herbs, and food choice is rich and tasty. My favorite asian restaurant in Munich.

Found this place tucked away in a residential part of Munich, with no other English speakers apart from ourselves. The staff seemed surprised that we didn't speak German, but both sides managed to communicate adequately. It was almost full, and we sat in the pleasant outdoor area at the back of the restaurant. Wine was ridiculously expensive, and indeed the... More

We had better food than in Vietnam itself but it costs ten times as much as in the country itself. The range if dishes is enormous and it was hard to decide what to go for so at the end we decided on a starter platter for two and the hot pot and curry duck as mains. The good was... More

I was a bit tired of eating heavy meats and rich Bavarian food. I had known that there were a good number of Vietnamese migrants in Germany so i set out to find a good Vietnamese restaurant. Banyan came recommended by my concierge. It is not authentic but it is authentic for Germany! It has some Chinese and Thai dishes... More

great vietnamese dishes, the best spring rolls , tasty delicious duck and soups we adored. But you have to book in advance - its usually fully booked on Fridays and Saturdays. Also very nice ambiente.
