Great coffee stop in the garden

Wonderful charming place tucked away at the edge of the garden. Perfect for a WC break and refreshment. The place has a organic/vegan vibe but in true German style serves meat and cake too of course!

Of all the restaurants I have visited lately, this one has the best back story. Built in 1906 as a public toilet for the English Garden, it served its intended purpose for many years. Eventually the building acquired a reputation for drug dealing and other illicit activities, and it was officially boarded up and left to decay. More about our... More

Well.....we have to be honest: from the outside the place is nothing special. We choose it just because we needed the toilet. From the inside, instead, the place is enchanting!!! The cafè is super cozy and warm. You can sit on the wooden benches on one side and really restore yourselves. The cappuccino is superlative, I have never found a... More

This is a great looking place with a really cool vibe. Unfortunately though our food and drinks could have been better both in quality and price.

This little place is hidden away along side the english garden.. its a prefect little place winter or summer.. During summer when the people are surfing on the nearby river.. it's almost like a little surfers bar and hideaway.. great atmosphere and vibe in the place.. worth a visit.

Don't judge a book by its cover... Well while strolling through the English Gardens in the city, we came across what looked like a little shed house. Inside this quirkly little coffee shop, we were surprised to find that there was a great selection of beverages and drinks to warm us up. Loved the hot apple juice and cinnamon ....... More

We ducked in here during a very cold, snowy day and it was like being in a cabin in the woods. Lots of charm, very good food and drink, good prices and not your usual restaurant. It only seats about six but the staff are very friendly and it is so cozy.
