We really wanted to try a Vietnamese when in Munich as there are very little of them at home and we were really happy with our choice of Nam Giao 31. We arrived around 5pm and seen on the door that it doesn't open for dinner until 5:30pm. It is situated in quiet suburb which is really nice for a... More

I came here to eat one dish only and it is pho. The broth was okay. I just couldn't grab the flavor out of the broth. The slow cook of beef in the broth that gives it the rich thickness of flavor from the beef. I think they didn't put spices and herbs to the broth when preparing the dish.... More

Decided to try Nam Giao on the recommendation of a friend. We were SO impressed! All of the staff speaks great English (English menus, too) and reservations are recommended as the restaurant is very small. The ambiance is relaxed and warm. The food is spectacular! The beef & noodle soup is delicious. I had a crepe loaded with fresh veggies... More

Tiny restaurant in a quiet street, only about 10 tables. Very friendly staff, excellent food and great choice.

Tiny wee restaurant tucked away down a quiet street but so glad we found it! Lucky enough to get table without a reservation. Food was amazing and the staff very friendly and attentive :) Would return if ever back in Munich!! Would recommend making a reservation as only about 8 or 9 tables.

Stopped in with friends for a quick lunch while on the road. spending a day in Munich; also during the Christmas market season. It's a small room, but with good food. Their Bun is a little soggy and sloppy, but the Pho is excellent. I will be back, I expect!

This is a really nice find, and the food is really delicious. Infact, the next day we visited Cyclo another Vietnamese in town but more fancy, and Nam Giao 31 despite smaller and in more simpler surroundings, was far better! You can tell the place is family-run and it has a great atmosphere with staff who really work hard. My... More

Tiny but comfortable, this was a brilliant find in Munich. We shared a mixed starter with fresh and zingy summer roll, yummy spring roll and a lovely prawn encased rice flakes. The duck with mango salad was the dish of the day just ahead of the Vietnamese crepe or the caramelised monkfish. Great lunch and lovely friendly service.

Back after a year of not returning to Munich, we finally had the chance to try Nam Giao again. In a year a lot of things can change, but this place is the same. Still the same owner, still the lovely food. I had a soup for starter, that was almost a complete meal. Great noodles, lots of vegetables, everything... More

After having spent 9 days in Austria and Germany, our group really was looking for some Asian "comfort" food. Although we had some good hearty but typical faire in both countries, a break was needed. Nam Giao 31 is a small, quaint and friendly restaurant with mainly locals there when we dined. It is about a 5 minute walk from... More
