I may hate noise and crowds and public drunkenness, but being a reasonable man, I make an exception to get to this place every time I'm in Munich. It's located at the end of the brewery that makes the great beer it serves up. While I normally consume almost two six packs per year of PBR, I go through two... More

Be prepared to share a table with others quick to become friends. You may want a reservation, but we were lucky to grab two seats when a pair finished. We had to walk through the restaurant and ask servers if they had any seats in their area - but our server was very friendly and quick to get us these... More

In this restaurant you can eat very good food especially, of course, German dishes and also drink an incredible beer directly spilled from the barrel !!!

Typical German brewhouse with a local atmosphere ( unlike most downtown which are touristy). Service was great, English menus available, waitresses spoke English. Food was what you expect in Munich, PORK and more PORK, although they had other options including a few veggie dishes. This is a place to go with friends or business folks who want a more authentic... More

Great time! Great beer! Great food! Did I mention Great beer?!?! The only time I would not recommend it is if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. If you want to sit at long tables with friends you are about to make, drink beer, eat great food, and sing along with the Oompa band then this is the... More

Great food and, obviously, great beer. The place was extremely crowded and noisy, but this was just adding cheerfulness to our dinner. The waiters were definitely busy and did some confusion with the orders, but they were humoring us and we didn't mind.

If you want a full blown braustuben blast, this is the place. There is a nicer restaurant with chairs etc, but the real action is in the hall. You share benches with other guests and you get (a lot) of hearty pork along with the locally brewed beer. When we were there a gang of supporters from the Stuttgart football... More

First its a bit out of the way but a it is only a few stops on the tram 18 or 19. Very nice restaurant. The food is German with a good selection. Waiters speak English and they have English menus. Best of all this is the brewery for Augustine beer. It is one of the top, if not the... More

This classic beer hall was packed with locals on a Friday night. It took us awhile to find two seats at a long table and were immediately welcomed by our fellow diners. We ordered classic Schwienhaxn (crispy pig knuckle) with dumplings and good Augustiner beer. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was festive and congenial. I was amazed that our... More
