Great place, great food, average service

Great place, great food, average service. I went there with friends from my home country in order to celebrate my birthday as they wanted to have bavarian traditional food. Food was great as usual...service has a lot of space to improve...but still we will continue go there...

Last year I ate in the beer hall - please read my review, the beer hall is a must! This time I opted for the restaurant (turn left when you enter). The beer hall is a more authentic and fun experience but if you don't want to share a picnic table with locals then go in the restaurant. It's still... More

A bit outside the touristy part of the city, this beer hall had good food, decent service (plus English menu), and excellent beer. Fills up fast on Friday evenings.

Walked here on a Friday night and were able to get seated immediately on the patio upstairs. It was crowded, nosey and lively - everyone was drinking and smoking. Amazed at how quickly the food came - actually before the drinks - but the food was cold so I suspect the "popular" dishes are prepared earlier in the day? I... More

If you are planning a visit to Munich, this beer hall is a must. It is important to see and experience the Hofbräuhaus, but this is where you will want to eat! Food is WAY better and atmosphere is spot on if you want to experience a Bavarian Beer Hall/Restaurant. It can be very busy so make reservations! Servers can... More

Here you can taste a very good beer. The famous German wustel also. It was a little bit cold but they offer to you some blankets to get some warm. But careful the kitchen closes at 22:00 so you have to be careful with your schedule.

My friend and I ate here our first night in Munich. It took us a while to find seats and flag down a server (at least one server flat out ignored us) but once we were seated, we had a great time. Menu was large but it was all very traditional Bavarian food—lots of potatoes, sausage, etc. great selection of... More

We stayed across the road and had nowhere to go for food. So thought we'd have a liquid lunch 😉. Beer was excellent and food was even better. Stayed in here for a few hours until the rest of our party arrived. Could of stayed in here all day.

The Braustuben is attached to the Augustiner brewery just outside central Munich. The beer comes fresh from the brewery next door and tastes like heaven in a glass. I go here quite regularly and I am never disappointed with the wonderful beer. The service is excellent, although the rooms gets busy for obvious reasons, seats at the back can be... More

This restaurant gives a good intro on what traditional Bavaria food is like. I must ask- is the serving size always this HUGE! It was quite a walk in the cold unexpected windy weather from our hotel, but so worth it. The Dining hall was super crowded on a Tuesday night! As such the service was a bit hard to... More
