Fantastic beer hall !!!!!!!!

Make this place a high priority if you're looking for the classic German experience. Warm welcome, fantastic beers (all sizes and varieties) pork knuckle, sausages, schnitzel etc etc. Find a seat and get stuck in!!!! Didn't break the bank either, remember to finish off with the blueberry pancake... read more

Previously the site of the Augustiner brewery, still a wonderful place to enjoy the beers from Augustiner in the best possible condition, and have typical local cuisine with it. Food is really nice, service is professional and efficient, which is a must when the place is packed. Popular, and well priced.

My favourite beer restaurant in Munchen and the best one of all Augustiners in Munchen. Moderate prices. Bavarian cuisine. A chance to try a draught beer from a real wooden barrel.

I loved this place. Loud and boisterous like any decent Germany beer house. I had the pork knuckle which was fantastic. There's not much else to say but you really should go here for dinner and drinks. It's excellent.

You couldn't possibly go wrong with the beer (Augustinerbrau had been in the business since 1328) so I'll focus on the food. While the Pork Knuckle is a delicious cliche, I would recommend the Braumeisterpfanne which translates into Master Brewer's Favorite. With roast pork, Swabian ravioli, a meatball and a pretzel dumpling, all swimming in a delicious mushroom gravy, this... More

We made this our first stop on a quick jaunt to Munich recently. Compared to the main Augustiner pub/restaurant this is a little way out of town but it's well worth the trek. The clientele is almost exclusively local and the prices are extremely reasonable. 2.65 euros for a half litre of Helles (July 15) makes this a must stop... More

It took a 10-15 min taxi ride from central Munich to get here. That distance ensures less tourists and more locals. I felt that this was how many Germans enjoy a mid week meal. Large wooden tables in a big beer hall. Loud talking, laughter, with ample food & beer served to all. We sat on the roof deck in... More

Incredibly huge place with bavarian style dining. Long tables where you just find a spot and sit down to meet locals and travelers alike. Very friendly servers who encourage drinking and eating great food and beer. Menu is huge offering all of the traditional bavarian food. Several beer options available in german size portions. Great atmosphere, crowded all the time... More
