Cool experience

Here you can taste a very good beer. The famous German wustel also. It was a little bit cold but they offer to you some blankets to get some warm. But careful the kitchen closes at 22:00 so you have to be careful with your schedule.

If you are planning a visit to Munich, this beer hall is a must. It is important to see and experience the Hofbräuhaus, but this is where you will want to eat! Food is WAY better and atmosphere is spot on if you want to experience a Bavarian Beer Hall/Restaurant. It can be very busy so make reservations! Servers can... More

My friend and I ate here our first night in Munich. It took us a while to find seats and flag down a server (at least one server flat out ignored us) but once we were seated, we had a great time. Menu was large but it was all very traditional Bavarian food—lots of potatoes, sausage, etc. great selection of... More

We stayed across the road and had nowhere to go for food. So thought we'd have a liquid lunch 😉. Beer was excellent and food was even better. Stayed in here for a few hours until the rest of our party arrived. Could of stayed in here all day.

The Braustuben is attached to the Augustiner brewery just outside central Munich. The beer comes fresh from the brewery next door and tastes like heaven in a glass. I go here quite regularly and I am never disappointed with the wonderful beer. The service is excellent, although the rooms gets busy for obvious reasons, seats at the back can be... More

This restaurant gives a good intro on what traditional Bavaria food is like. I must ask- is the serving size always this HUGE! It was quite a walk in the cold unexpected windy weather from our hotel, but so worth it. The Dining hall was super crowded on a Tuesday night! As such the service was a bit hard to... More

The place is great to see and a bit far away from the Center, but it has the cheapest prices for proper bavarian beer in the city. The food is also very good and quite cheap compared to what you can find in town, and the waiters are nicer than usual and don't answer you in english when you talk... More

Just get in, find a seat at one of the big tables and enjoy a very convivial evening. Food was good and well served. The beer was the cheapest we found during our stay in München. Not as loud as other places of that kind in the city.

I visited this restaurant having checked it out on Tripadvisor as it was very close to the hotel I was staying at for the night. As I was hungry after a long journey, I went early and was glad I did … at just after 7pm on a Wednesday evening it was incredibly busy. I nearly did a U turn... More

We were actually advised against going there, when we asked for directions to the place...words like touristy and too commercialised came to the fore. We however, went ahead anyway, but a first look at the menu seemed to confirm what we were told...it had English, Spanish, Italian and another language I have forgotten. Our fears though, were unfounded, as throughout... More
