Great Atmosphere

Thoroughly recommend. This was not as "commercial" as other beer halls. Staff were great, Food Great and beer even better. An all round good night for anyone wanting to experience a beer hall in Munich. The prices were good as well.

Traditional feel with traditional Bavarian dishes. I visit every time I am in Munich. Counting down the days to my next Helles.

Best beer garden in Munich (located upstairs). Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The pork knuckle was absolutely delicious! Made sure to visit several times during our stay in Munich.

My wife and I are here at the recommendation of our hotel, it was fantastic Bavarian food. We had the sausage platter and the brewmasters special, both were great.

My boyfriend and I had already eaten so came in here for just a drink. The atmosphere was brilliant and the staff were very nice. It was much better than some of the more touristy beer halls because it was a lot cheaper and seemed more genuine!

This place is a great choice in Munich! They have good beer and you can share a table with other people, a very interesting experience in my opinion. You get to chat (or not) with your table mate and it is all good. The pretzels are very good, have one as an entree with a big glass of beer until... More

We were excited to try this place for a traditional beer hall experience but were disappointed with our visit. The staff was not particularly friendly and seemed to rush us through our meal. Beer was good but you can get good beer anywhere in Munich. Food was unexceptional and bland. Wanted to like it but left unimpressed.

There are lots of Augustiner beer bars in Munich, but this is the original Beer hall. It is bit off the Munich's touristy city center and so is less known. Even locals do not recommend it unless you ask them for the real brewery. The atmosphere there is always festive. Typical beerhall with large tables and loud customers. The food... More

Since the place is always packed, it's best to make a reservation. Staff is welcoming and friendly, menus are available in different languages, and the traditional Bavarian food is good - not the best I've tasted in Munich, but not the worst, either. Beware of the blueberry pancake: it's delicious but colossal, perfect for sharing. The beer is great, and... More

We had a lovely meal here: you all sit on long tables and, if you're lucky, will get to meet many of the local Germans. The waiters work hard and the food is gorgeous. The beer is pretty good too!
