After arriving at the hotel we were starving and the staff suggested we try this place. Wasn't disappointed! The food was good and plenty and the prices were average. Being satisfied with it we went the next evening but it was way too crowded and we had to "fight" for a table.

One of the best places to go to for an authentic Bavarian dinner and lots of cheap home brewed beer! We had a huge dinner for a decent price. However the waiters were too busy and a little unfriendly, practically tipping himself and getting angry at my friend who decided not to tip.

We had pork knuckles and felt the quality was not bad. Service was also pretty spot-on, considering that we visited during lunch where there wasn't so many people yet. Beer was also good. Be prepared to share a table though, even during non-busy periods.

Food was good, beer was great, service could be better. The server didn't feel like translating the daily specials. Nice brick work on the ceilings.

I may hate noise and crowds and public drunkenness, but being a reasonable man, I make an exception to get to this place every time I'm in Munich. It's located at the end of the brewery that makes the great beer it serves up. While I normally consume almost two six packs per year of PBR, I go through two... More

Be prepared to share a table with others quick to become friends. You may want a reservation, but we were lucky to grab two seats when a pair finished. We had to walk through the restaurant and ask servers if they had any seats in their area - but our server was very friendly and quick to get us these... More

In this restaurant you can eat very good food especially, of course, German dishes and also drink an incredible beer directly spilled from the barrel !!!

Typical German brewhouse with a local atmosphere ( unlike most downtown which are touristy). Service was great, English menus available, waitresses spoke English. Food was what you expect in Munich, PORK and more PORK, although they had other options including a few veggie dishes. This is a place to go with friends or business folks who want a more authentic... More

Great time! Great beer! Great food! Did I mention Great beer?!?! The only time I would not recommend it is if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. If you want to sit at long tables with friends you are about to make, drink beer, eat great food, and sing along with the Oompa band then this is the... More

Great food and, obviously, great beer. The place was extremely crowded and noisy, but this was just adding cheerfulness to our dinner. The waiters were definitely busy and did some confusion with the orders, but they were humoring us and we didn't mind.
