Nice beergarden and good beer, but the pork knuckle was very poor, not tasty, and not so friable. Average.

This is a good beer garden restaurant where you can sit outside in the garden either alone or at a community table. Food was good - sausages are tastier and lighter in Germany than in the the US

Our group was on a schweinhaxe experience tour and sampled a few places in Bavaria. Straubinger came out as one of the top two foodwise, and the best servicewise. The waitor was enthusiatic and came out with suggestions and samples of local specialities. We sat down at 18:00 and that was before the big rush of customers. Note that booking... More

This is my first time to Germany and first exposure to Bavarian Foods, and it's total comfort food for me! The restaurant was warm and inviting and the servers were very kind. It can get a little noisy at times, buts that to be expected when you have than many Germans with that much beer in one room. I had... More

I visited Munich in mid-May with my parents for 4 nights and ate here for 3 of those. We had just checked in and as my Dad comes from German decent, he was really looking forward to an authentic Bavarian style meal. This place came highly recommended by the hotel concierge and was a 5 minute walk away. My Dad... More

We dine at Straubinger's at least once every time we visit Munich. Excellent traditional German food -- try the schweinshaxe, Wiener schnitzel, or the half duck. On our last visit, they surprised us with a venison special -- perfectly cooked (medium rare) venison slices with excellent vegetables and potatoes. Service is very friendly and efficient. You will get a better... More

A short walk from the market, this tavern is a bit superior in terms of choice, ambiance (well, and price). We had some nice duck and, of course, the beer was excellent. Good place with a lot of locals.

For the me the "Straubi" is a true favourite where I am happy to bring friends and business partners to eat. The food is excellent, the service is great and have the bavarian flair but with a friendlness that you don't always find in a place so central. They have a biergarten which is nice despite being close to the... More

Excellent Bavarian food and a very nice service. As I didn't know which beer to chose, I was offered 3 different beers to try them on first. Also the price was very good for the food we took. Very good experience and I would definetely go there again. Totally recommended.
