If you are a meatlover - then you will go gaga over the variety of meat spread. Although, my veggie wife loved her meal beyond words too! Its the bowl concept, with one, two or unlimited rounds to the selection counter and you can get extra sauce/marinade to spice up your meal. I think the one round was enough for... More

Mongo's is half way between MarienPlatz & SendlingerTor and the usual visitor to Munich could well miss it (as it is not the 'tourist' route between both). Other reviewers have described the concept so we just wanted to recommend the restaurant after having had a fantastic night out there . We did not find it cramped but may have become... More

I like the concept of Mongo. Its a Mongolian restaurant where you simply take your bowl, fill it with your favorite ingredients such as vegetables and different kind of meat (rabbit, kangaroo, zebra etc). Then you hand over your bowl to the chief and he will make it ready for you. Taste is great, concept good and can be a... More

Food is very interesting here, highly unusual meats will be cooked instantly at your choice. Most of the meats were first-rate. The sauces and hot oils were really great for the most part, too. Large salad and vegetable buffet. Seating was a disappointment, though. There is almost no privacy with the neighboring table just a foot away.

Mongos is a super restuarant for unusual meat and fish dishes (especially the former) with a high variety of sauces. Perfect for parties and friends. Effectively you choose your own ingredients and spices each and every time - it is a bufffet of "raw and uncooked" ingrediants that you select and then leave by the kitchen to have cooked and... In Munich for the last night of a 3 week Europe vacation. My sister's Birthday. We had eaten at Mongos earlier in the trip and loved it so it was our pick for our little celebration. Perfect choice. First off Mongos is a great way to do dinner. You 1st pick your sauce from a choice of about 9 different... More

I like the idea of choosing the food and the salsa and have them cooked by the cook. You can try many kinds of meat and fish ( exotic and wild sorts too). Nice design.

In Munich for 10 days in August and a friend of ours who lives there suggested we meet for dinner at Mongo's. Yep...this was a super suggestion and I loved every bit of this restaurant. Mongo's is a chain restaurant without the chain feel. Comfortable seating inside or out, great bar, and lots of happy people pigging out on food... More
