Very traditional brewery, once a place for the nazi rally party, it stills hold the traditional outlook. The beer is magnificent and the food too.

The location is great. It has an outside beer garden and multiple halls and rooms inside. The food was good (had roast pork, Spaetzle with cheese and apple fritters for dessert) .But the atmosphere was not that great. Mainly caused by the waitress. It was more than we bargained for. We felt like we were an inconvenience to her. Nevertheless... More

A large open room with waiters and waitresses in traditional costume and a strong Bavarian menu made a great night out for us on our trip to the Christmas Market. Booking was easy ( but essential I think) and our table was well presented. The food was hot and tasty - both my wild boar and my wife's veal. The... More

The room did not have the personality and vibe that the other beer halls did. It was somehow devoid of personality. The waitresses were rude. The environment sterile. The beer, was very good, and the outside at night is very pretty. I had my beer, then went to Augustiner-Keller, which I'd recommend a thousand times before Lowenbrau.

During a recent visit to Munich, we visited all the main brauhauses in the city. A friend had recommended Lowenbrau, which is set appart from the other brauhauses in the city. We found the Lowenbrau to have by far the best variety of beers (see picture). They were also the tastiest beers, in my opinion. I'm a big fan of... More

Wonderful location with real food. Was there during a congress dinner. Music and helfty food is the key to customer....great Schweinshaxe and beer. But really loud if full!

A typical brewery with classic German cousine. Very tasty food and very good beer. Our waiter Pascal was very nice and helpful. He brought English menu. He had no problem to bring three plates so we could share one big meal - the portions are big. I do recommend visiting it if you want a typical German atmosphere. It is... More

At Lowenbrau, you really get the feeling that you are getting the authentic Bavarian experience. Tourists are definitely in the minority, but are welcomed. You can ask for the menu in English, and they are happy to oblige. In our week's holiday we came for drinks, for dinner and for lunch. The potatoes are gorgeous, and the potato dumplings are... Not much for vegetarians, English menu only had one selection, although there were three on the main menu, I chose the cabbage parcels, which were served with blue potatoes, which was different!
