The walk to St Emmeransmühle is lovely and the garden is pleasant on a sunny day which is why we ended up there recently. It was lunch time mid week and the Biergarten was not at all busy. The Menu is extensive plus they have a daily lunch menu. The service was efficient and everything that we ordered came promptly.... More

It is a little bit of a schlep to get to Sankt Emmermsmühle but once there (We did not see a mill), the verdant surroundings are lovely and the interior of the restaurant beautiful. The beer served here is Spaten, a crisp and refreshing brew fresh from the tap. We were impressed with the wonderful pork roast (Schweinebraten), its skin... More

Always excellent, great atmosphere, enjoyed by Local businesses for years. Away from the city, but reachable. Enjoy a truly wonderful Bavarian meal without the hint if tourism. Parking can be a bit tough, but it is worth it.

This has to be one of the best hidden restaurants in Munich, but it is well worth finding! A piece of advice, though - parking is limited, but it's beautiful to just walk there. It's situated right next to the Isar and has outdoor seating as well. It poured when we visited, so we were lucky to get a table... More

What a fun restaurant with seating indoors and outdoors. Choose outdoors in the summer, much more fun. The service was good but slow as the place was busy on a midweek day! The food quality and quantity was very good and the wine and beer choices were excellent and not expensive. Good choice for a group or even a family... More

Both a biergarten and a good quality restaurant, we came here for dinner. We sat outside, as did everyone else on a cool summer's evening. The setting is very pleasant, adjacent to the English Gardens and some nice homes nearby. It is off the beaten track for Munich, and we understand from our friends that local VIP's like politicians and... More

We spent 5 days in Munich during August 2013 and stayed near by the Sankt Emmeramuhle biergarten. Having dinner there 3 times over that week we can highly recommend the beer, food and service. The meals where quick to come out and the staff are pleasant at all times. It would pay to book a table as it gets packed... More

Excellent biergarten, the location is perfect, away from the maddening crowd, and OMG, they have valet parking, best way to reach the place in good weather is of course with a bike, through English Garden. What I really like about this place is that the barbarian tradition of bringing your own food is not allowed here, who started that anyway!... More

I visited Sankt Emmeramsmuhle for Sunday lunch in July. This isn't the easiest place to get to in the city but it is well worth the effort. After taking the U-Bahn and a bus to the Sankt Emmeramsmuhle stop its 10 minute walk to find this lovely beer garden. When sitting in the beer garden you wouldn't realise that you... More
